Obamas philosophical speech to the 2014 graduates of West Point about a new direction for Americas foreign policy was not a great speech for that audience, said CNN anchor Jim Clancy on Wednesday. He said that the president did not sound like a commander-in-chief speaking to his troops and got an icy reception as a result...

No. An oldie but goodie that has floated around FR.
thx for fixing the link. the first one went to disneyworld.
Here’s a plan: let’s get the CINC to West Point to address a class of warriors who have trained to be leaders of fighting troops for four long hard years, and the keynote will be: I’ll keep you guys out of harm’s way. Yeah, that will go over well. Typical Administration tone-deaf, bumbling ineptitude.

That yet remains to be seen. Thusfar they have been able to do as they please among the sheep without fear.

It was words on paper and he presented it as such. Very little enthusiasm for what he was reading meaning, he didnt even believe much of what he was reading.
Me too! But, they have too much class to do it!
I understand, it is easy to march through streets with weapons or assault people trying to board an airplane. But I have faith in our Military. They are patriots and heroes. And there are many more Patriots, like those who rose to defend property rights at the Bundy ranch.
I don't know the real numbers, but I've read 30% supported the American Revolution - the rest supported Britian or didn't care. We don't need a majority to reclaim the country.
Thoughts about this from Annapolis....

Agree. We just need the will to do what is necessary to resist and defeat tyrants and their agents.
I have yet to see that willpower. Most seem to think and limit the recourse to voting in a rigged system. I contend most have a fatal case of Normalcy Bias.
The will is there
We just haven't reached the tipping point that will bring us to the streets with our weapons. We still believe we can work in the Constitution
But not for long,
Streets is where the regime will want us.
In fact, I think this regime desperately WANTS violence and bloodshed so it will have the excuse it needs to do what they have been arming themselves to do to their political ‘enemies’.
They are counting on empty shelves and shortages and privation to gain the acceptance of the genocide I am convinced they are planning to do.
We will have to be smarter than taking to streets. Taking to the streets is exactly what they want and what they are attempting to incite.
Non-compliance. Refusal. Disobedience to tyranny is our duty at this point.
As with all tyrants, such refusal will be dealt via economic punishment and blockade and if that does not achieve what the regime wants, then they will impose their will by brutal force. They will do this to individuals and small groups that are easy pickings and will do so very publicly in order instill a climate of fear and snuff out any spirit of resistance.
Any suffering caused by non-compliance will be blamed on those daring to defy the state in order to turn the population against us and prohibit anyone coming to our aid or cause.
It is at that point, when they come to impose themselves by force, that we are duty-bound and justified to resist by every and all means. Taking to the streets is not wise.
Just remember what Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn had to say about agents of the state and what could have been if the fear of the people were put into those carrying out despotic orders.
Love it
I believe with a Surprise visit to Afghanistan etc, that they actually have the political people on the ground to actually choose their audience
but i guess not at West Point
