By all means, let’s choose our candidate based upon the color of his skin as the number one priority.
Don’t you have to be a lawyer?
LOL
Well, if a union organizer can be POTUS I don’t see why a right-thinking doctor can’t.
I agree.
I’d really like to see him run for mayor of Detroit. He’s a hometown hero and might actually inspire some of the people to stand and do something for themselves.
If he can hang in there till he decides to leave without being forcibly removed, he will have bonafides.
If an unaccomplished, ignorant, community agitator can become pResident, anyone can.
Why doesn’t Dr. Carson try at the mayoral level, then the governor level, before he tries at the presidential level?
Even if we have a collection of nitwits currently at those levels, it doesn’t negate the need to show competence first in large-scale organizational management.
About the only people that I would consider prepped to slide into the White House as a first governmental job would be, for example, whomever is running Ford.
As a doctor, Carson takes the Hippocratic oath to perform his service without doing harm to his patient (ie, patient being the USA). This in itself would qualify him to be a $Trillion times better POTUS than the current ‘resident, who apparently is following the exact opposite of that oath.
Well, if a jackass community agitator from Kenya can be President, why not an accomplished doctor from the United States.
I would like to hear how he would deal with anti second amendment traitors.
Considering that we now have a college lecturer who after 12 years couldn’t earn a promotion to ‘associate professor’, I believe a doctor may be over-qualified for the job.
If a homosexual Muslim doper can be president, why not?
You don’t have to be a brain surgeon to be President, but it helps!
If the President were to recognize the actual purpose of the office as based in the Constitution, s/he could be any well-educated person. The last non-lawyer President was Reagan; before him it was Eisenhower, and Truman before him. All three acquitted themselves well in the office, and so would Dr. Carson, should he choose to run and be elected.
Although being POTUS definitely has its challenges, Dr. Carson’s question about a doctor being president leads me to question if he aware of the federal government’s constitutionally limited powers.
As a side note about Obama, given the federal government’s limited powers, in peacetime the Founding States had arguably intended for presidents to spend most of their time on a golf course.
One thing for sure, having career politicians who have never woked in the private sector or made a payroll sure hasn’t worked out very well for the Country.
I'm also highly suspicious of these emails from "PAC's" using the Ben Carson name asking me for money when there hasn't been indication from him running. It goes right along all those "Gingrich Productions" emails and the talk about him running every four years.
A lot of the lesser knowns make money off running for office by pocketing the money in "consulting" without running an actual campaign.
We need more citizen statesmen. And the fact that he is NOT a lawyer is a good sign, imo.
Dittos for Carson. Let Carson run for the Senate or Govenor first, then we'll talk.
Not if he doesn’t understand the true meaning of the 2nd amendment.
