Climate change and the missing Malaysian flight are important to CNN. The Obama administrations continued evasion of serious investigation into the 2012 attack on the American consulate in Benghazi, not so much.
At least thats what Jeff Zucker, president of CNN Worldwide, told a New York Times reporter at the Deadline Clubs annual awards dinner Monday night.
Were not going to be shamed into [Benghazi coverage] by others who have political beliefs that want to try to have temper tantrums to shame other news organizations into covering something, Zucker said. If its of real news value, well cover it.

anyone who has CNN on for 2 seconds should hang their head in shame.
Fixed it
If I said what I’m thinking right now about liberals like Zucker I’d be completely banned from here.... And rightfully so.
From what I've heard I'm not alone.
This traitor is incapable of feeling shame in the first place, as are most of CNN’s eleven viewers.
What’s their payback for being Obama’s poodle? He mocks them!
Just like Bush's National Guard dodging story. Right?
5.56mm
If they want ratings, they will cover Benghazi. But I guess the State takes care of its own.
OK then Jeff...when the story has big legs, I suppose you’ll resign..
Woodward and Bernstein were undoubtedly shamed into covering Watergate. I guess CNN is above all that.
Gee, I feel so deprived and uncool.
Shame?
You bet your bunny you should be ashamed Zucker.
An administration lets a U.S. Ambassador and his security detail get wasted and won’t help because...it might look bad because it might end badly?
And then dissembles, vacillates and outright lies about the cause?
Beyond outrageous. Oh, and did we throw in making sure that some utterly uninvolved bystander in Los Angeles gets ARRESTED to try to pin blame on him, and deflect it from the African God-Man on Earth?
Nah. You’re Right, Zucker. No Above the Fray News Organization would EVER touch this.
Yea Right. Along with really important crap like Justin Bieber’s latest PR stunt, right?
They’re covering the evac of Tripoli today!

To frame the narrative that zero and thighness are/were indeed engaged in Benghazi.
Burn in hell, Zucker.
THESE are the people you need to be picketing and giving the “occupy” treatment to. If, for hypothetical example, Sarah Palin decided to lead an angry crowd of protestors to CNN headquarters as opposed to Washington DC, I wouldn’t blame her one bit. Bring it home to them that if they take a political side, they will be considered political operators with all the liabilities and risks that status implies.
Next on CNN, President B. Hussein Obama has a bowel movement. All the details, and a special indepth report on just why it was odorless.
BUT, they possess Ambassador Steven’s DIARY.
They WERE gonna cover it until the kidnapping unexpectedly morphed into a massacre.
CNN President: We Wont Be Shamed Into Covering Benghazi
That statement assumes the public believes that CNN has any shame.
I don’tthink many feel that way. As a news agency you should have been leading the charge to get to the truth about Benghazi.
CNN? Well, on the bright side, it is a bit better than MSNBC but that is not saying much. As for my sources of news, sometimes I watch Fox News but that is no longer so good. I also watch the new One America News Network which mysteriously appeared on my Verizon Fios cable. It appears they are hooked up with the Washington Times.
I get pretty much all of my news from conservative internet news sites.
