All the anti-fracking hype is designed to make you believe that the U.S. government has been asleep at the switch when it comes to monitoring environmental safety. The activists want you to believe that a film director named Josh Fox can grab a video camera and, within a few months of driving around the country, easily expose a catalogue of hazards that all the experienced and educated scientists at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), not to mention all the state regulators, missed.
Fox even implies that U.S. President Barack Obama has been naively misled on the issue by the dastardly oil and gas industry. In July 2013, Fox wrote an open letter to Obama, in which he reminds the president how frequently hes met with industry representatives. He implores the president to meet with him and seven families who have all had their lives ruined by fracking. We seek to discuss with you the dark side of fracking, a perspective that has not yet been presented to you with adequate weight or emphasis, he writes. Of course, if anyone knows just how informed the president of the United States is, it must be a crusading New York City filmmaker.
But the Obama administration has proven itself to be no booster of the fossil-fuel industry, and under Obama, the EPA has been no sleeping watchdog. In reality, they have been active and invasive, particularly when it comes to fossil fuels.
The track record of Obama and his EPA, in other words, is one of acute, often even baseless, precaution...

The engineer I know who oversees fracking wells every day of the year, is extremely liberal and I guarantee if fracking harmed the water table, he would quit that job.
The nut cases act like we are putting poison down those wells and that is not true. The engineer has explained every step to me and that whole process will not harm the water table and as this article says, the well is way below the water table and nothing from that well can get up to the water table.
Yoko Ono spreading lies, needs to be put down a fracking well to see it for herself. Of course, that would kill her, but she would know the truth before she died, maybe.
No reason to let ‘real science’ interfere with ideology
It’s a documentary film maker named Fox, not Fox News,
Don’t worry, the libtards will keep beating the drums until they have the lowbrows agreeing with them. They will use the working class’s money to fund the EPA and other wacko leftist groups to push their agenda.
Labeling Josh Fox a “documentary filmmaker” is like calling Harry Reid and Ted Kennedy “statesmen.” ;-)
Oil to Marxists is like water to a witch.
Pray America wakes up
I can’t stand those moron enviros, they are so gullible and they just repeat all the nonsense their gossipy friends tell them. There is this woman at church who won’t shut up about all the natural gas being “stolen” from North Dakota by the big companies in Minnesota. You’d think they were blowing up the center of the country or something.
Ezra Levant of Canada’s National Post in reporting on a film maker, Josh Fox, going about the countryside makiing assertions the water table is being poisoned.Shovels up Fox’s inflamatory assertion of poisoning water table by fracking techniques when drilling for oil but no findings.
But by not doing so and offering countering proof his assertions are wrong. Winds up being a puff piece supporting the film makers contention. Thus feeding the contraversy and suggests that was the intention of that review.
I just wish Ezra would tell you what he’s going to tell you in the opening paragraph. Something you are supposed to learn in Journalism 101.
