Ben Carson may be shifting toward a 2016 run for president.
Carson has said that while he doesn't have a plan to make a run, and would only do so if he felt "called by God." Now, he is "starting to feel it."
According to The Weekly Standard, the retired director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital said his thoughts about running for president have been affected recently by the enthusiastic audience he has received from across the country.
"Over the years, there have been many attempts to get me to throw my hat in the political arena," Carson wrote in his new book, "One Nation: What We Can All Do to Save America's Future."
"I have been offered support from around the country and tremendous financial resources if I decide to run for national office. But I have not felt the call to run," he wrote, adding that "If I felt called by God to officially enter the world of politics, I would certainly not hesitate to do so."

Ben, I hope YOUR closet is “bone free”...
I was a Herman Cain supporter.
Ben is already doing the chameleon thing.
I don’t think Ben Carson is another Herman Cain. If he had any “bones”, they would have been brought front and center when he scolded Obama at the CBC dinner.
If he can’t get the most important amendment to the US Constitution correct(2nd Amendment), why would I trust him to defend the rest of the Constitution?
The “closet” of Herman Cain is like a Sunday picnic compared to what is in the closet of Bill Clinton (rape, indecent exposure, sexual harassment, perjury, molestation to name a few). From what I saw all Cain did was exuberant friendliness towards attractive women. Nobody accused him of molestation, indecent exposure, or rape. And all those women had connections to Chicago politics.
We do not need another constitutional scholar in the White House. We already have a professor of constitutional issues residing in the White House.
Ben Carson has all the right instincts. That is so much more important than memorizing the constitution.
I have no problem with him running, but politics at this level is no game for beginners. As we have seen with so many other promising candidates.
Shouldn’t he try running for some lesser offices first ?
The most troublesome thing is the lack of executive experience.
I have nothing but admiration for his medical achievements, but running organizations is a skill, and a difficult one.
I’m under no illusion that the left will treat any conservative candidate fairly,
or will report without hypocrisy, and treat any transgressions of conservatives like they would those of Clinton.
I could live with Cruz/Palin.
Anybody running a medical practice has a good bit more administrative experience than the Kenyan did.
He was NEVER a professor! He was an instructor of freshman classes. About two steps above a janitor on the academic totem pole. Regurgitating the Left’s talking points doesn’t help us.
Of course there is a double standard.
The only way out of it is if someone on the right were to buy out some of the left wing media entities.
Until then its a fact that the playing field is on a slope.
So do most shift supervisors at Subway or Burger King.
Recall 2011 Palin had them following that ‘freedom’ bus around the country by playing the tease, like a breadcrumbs trail. “The problem is I do have the fire in my belly” she responded on Greta LOL
Christie, Rubio, Jeb, Ryan, Paul, Santorum, Romney .... all jumping on TV talking like they are making a pitch for that job,....
Now I can add Carson..... where's the Huckster?
He’s not a conservative.
You sound like you are well familiar with left's talking points. I ignore them so I do not know what they are.
Are you still pushing Palin to run?
