Ben Carson may be shifting toward a 2016 run for president.
Carson has said that while he doesn't have a plan to make a run, and would only do so if he felt "called by God." Now, he is "starting to feel it."
According to The Weekly Standard, the retired director of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital said his thoughts about running for president have been affected recently by the enthusiastic audience he has received from across the country.
"Over the years, there have been many attempts to get me to throw my hat in the political arena," Carson wrote in his new book, "One Nation: What We Can All Do to Save America's Future."
"I have been offered support from around the country and tremendous financial resources if I decide to run for national office. But I have not felt the call to run," he wrote, adding that "If I felt called by God to officially enter the world of politics, I would certainly not hesitate to do so."

Ok, so the doctor is not a constitutional scholar. But I like his stance on most issues. Also like his courage to tell Obama on his face what is wrong with Obamacare.
So which constitutional scholar are you supporting in 2016?
I will support Cruz out of those 2.
Yes, and see what happened.
The Democrats are a clique, where a collection of entities calls the politico - bureaucratic shots. Obama is just a figurehead. The only administration the Democrats need is already there-the permanent Federal bureaucracy.
The Republicans have nothing like that - a President has to come in with an actual administration to impose his will. He has to choose a genuine executive team that he has to manage.

Well, good. Either run, or don’t run. Make a commitment, if you want one from me.
I tend to agree. He endorced Monica Wehby in the Oregon Senate race. She is a OK-with-abortion doctor who is stunningly ignorant on other issues. She donated to the AMA, who gave the money to Oregon Democrats. She is supported by Bob Packwood, who used to be called Senator Death because he was so pro-abortion.
Dr. Carson is ANTI-2A. No way I’ll even consider him.
If you “ignore” them your ignorance will hurt you.
Dr. Carson was the chief of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins with a large staff working under him. In fact, he pretty much single-handedly started the department, recruited a number of doctors who, under his mentoring, became top neurosurgeons in their own right, and managed the growth of this specialty and his department up until the last year or two.
His legacy at Hopkins is the greatest pediatric neurosurgery department in the world.
I don't know whether folks think that the sort of executive experience that's right for the job of president, but he is not without significant executive experience.

This would be a good place to cite a source or two.
Dr. Carson is among the best of the best in either party to run for President.
Dr. Carson has what it takes to lead us out of the generations-long flaws that we voters have tolerated to our peril: voting for our own Entitlement to Federal Welfare.
We have voted to harm our children, without ever admitting that that has been the cumulative effect of our voting.
A crude shorthand way of writing this opinion is the intent of the following poem by yours truly:
The Anti-Children, Free Stuff, American Family, Political Dynasties:
You list is well intended,
Of that Im very sure.
What is lacking is the reason
That these family jobs endure.
We-who vote them in,
Have we our reasons?
We-who re-elect them,
Must have reasons too?
What the reasons are
It is obvious to know:
We all like to LIVE LARGE,
Take our free stuff and go!
Charge everything to our kids:
charge, Charge, CHARGE!
Politicians will be politicians,
Just as boys will be boys.
Is what we laugh and say,
By those who hate their kids
And vote to make them pay, Pay, PAY!
No! You say, NO!
Youre not talking about ME!
I LOVE my kids! is your reply - - -
But who will be stuck
To pay your greedy free stuff bills,
When you die, Die, DIE?
__________
In 2014 it is time, - - - time for a change.
Naaaah.
Originally, he made comments that what's appropriate in one place may not be in another, so, banning certain types of guns in rural areas may not be right, but it might be right in the inner city.
However, just a couple of weeks ago, he wrote an opinion piece in the Washington Times recognizing the Second Amendment right as fundamental and necessary to liberty, citing the defense of the country through force of privately-owned and maintained arms against an oppressive government as the ultimate defense of the people against tyranny.
I suspect that the Kenyan anti-Christ’s worsening persecution of political opponents is opening his eyes, especially the Bundy ranch thing. I think he's learning.
My own view is that we could do far worse than Ben Carson.
But I am a little prejudiced, as my son was treated at Johns Hopkins by one of his proteges.

I usually don’t do other peoples homework for them, however here you go
What don’t you get about SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED good Dr.?
I was just going to type something almost identical to your post. Thanks for saving me the time, and, needless to say, I agree completely with your POV.
Thanks for stepping in to clarify.
Isn’t it interesting that both Carson and West are launching trial balloons today?
Of those two, I would go with West, based on his military background. We are sorely in need of making that requisite for high office once again.
But Republicans, like Caesar's wife, must be above suspicion; otherwise the media will flay them alive.
Except that he hasn’t run a medical practice. He was employed by Johns Hopkins hospital for his entire medical career.
I thought I heard ole Ben was an Affirmative discrimination fan.
