Why does the Department of Agriculture need submachine guns?

Those federal bureaucrats who can’t be fired want to be able to defend themselves from angry taxpayers. Or something. AWR Hawkins reports for Breitbart:
A May 7th solicitation by the U.S. Department of Agriculture seeks "the commercial acquisition of submachine guns [in] .40 Cal. S&W."
According to the solicitation, the Dept. of Agriculture wants the guns to have an "ambidextrous safety, semiautomatic or 2 round [bursts] trigger group, Tritium night sights front and rear, rails for attachment of flashlight (front under fore group) and scope (top rear), stock collapsible or folding," and a "30 rd. capacity" magazine.
They also want the submachine guns to have a "sling," be "lightweight," and have an "oversized trigger guard for gloved operation."
But of course those feds have our best interests at heart, so there's nothing to worry about. And those efforts to disarm us are for our own benefit.

If citizens can’t have these weapons, government bureaucrats certainly shouldn’t be able to have them. This is elementary. What is Congress doing to protect us?

Because they don’t train as often as beat cops and need the extra fire power to be sure they can kill you and your family “when the time comes.”

"Why does the Department of Agriculture need submachine guns?"
Because real machineguns are too heavy to carry around all day.

DISARM all federal agencies.
Make them work with local sheriffs in any situation requiring law enforcement authority.

If I had to deal with the Children of the Corn, I'd want want a submachine gun, too.
Don't know if it'd do much good up against He Who Walks Behind The Rows, though.

Why does the Department of Agriculture need submachine guns? It can't be more clear: the BLM needs machine guns to better protect the land the feds steal from the states and to shoot and kill American patriots who try to defend their Constitutional rights against the tyrants in DC

I suppose the Forest Service has some people who are routinely armed.

Why does the Department of Agriculture need submachine guns? Because when the SHTF they can seize the food supply to feed the bureaucratic elites. You never hear about government lackeys starving in totalitarian regimes when the rest of the sheeple are eating from dumpsters and landfills.

The GOP House and Senate should create a contract with America and item 1 on the list should be to disarm all domestic government agencies except for: FBI, parts of Justice Department, and a small part of Treasury. I can’t think of any other agency that needs to be armed.

Same reason the DHS, IRS, USPS, and every other alphabet agency needs millions of rounds of ammo.

Not a damn thing. Neither republicans are democrats want to touch this issue.
The USDA wants to be send a swat team to your place if you have backyard chickens, or grow too many tomatoes of the wrong kind, or drink raw milk, or p*ss in the flower beds, or anything else that violates the new government agricultural mandates.
It’s to protect them from us. They might be attacked by mosquitoes, a terrorist gardener, or something. Who knows!
