Hours after former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney called for an increase in the minimum wage, Neel Kashkari, one of the partys top candidates for governor of California, said such a move would be devastating to workers.
The timing of the clash was awkward for Kashkari, a former investment banker from Laguna Beach. Romney is one of the Republican luminaries including former Govs. Pete Wilson of California and Jeb Bush of Florida whose support Kashkari has featured in campaign mail and TV advertising.

Romney’s true liberal self coming out.
Fixing the symptom instead of the disease of inflation and increasing gas price.
I cannot believe Mitt was a CEO.
Romney is either a weak idiot incapable of confronting the the stupid demagoguery idea of mininmum wage, or he finds it good for his business to ultimately lower the work force, minimize promotion benefits and putting people in a higher income tax bracket even though the prices go up.
RINORomney is a jerk.
So, what’s new?
But he has the perfect name of the GOPe... kneel, cash n carry
Romney is one of the Republican luminaries

Romney’s true liberal self was always pretty much on display. He was happy to make big bucks and be on the cover of Fortune as a young man, but once these people have made the big bucks, they want to pull up the ladder.
And most of his bucks after his business career - where it didn’t hurt that his dad had legitimately made a fortune as the CEO of American Motors before his entry into politics as a governor - came from his contacts in his government career.
The surest way to wealth in this country now is to be in government. Not a good thing.
Tell me again that Romney was different than obamA
Well, brace yourself...I think Romney’s going to run again. I have been getting strange ads here and there on various FB pages or websites, and I think he’s going to wait for all the other candidates to kill each other off, and then sail in with his money and simply take the nomination again.
We can’t let him get away with it twice.
I just received Neel’s flyer in the mail. He says he’s a conservative republican. I’ll have to look into his record.
I want Donnelly to win the Gubernatorial primary to show the GOP base in California is anti-amnesty.
Jim,
“Me-too” Republicanism has come back with a vengeance. Gone are the days of Republicans calmly and factually opposing leftist policies on principles. I really think that the majority of Republicans truly believe in the lie that they need to “moderate” in order to win elections, so Romney is going along with this to gain both establishment and media cred. I personally think Romney believes that the minimum-wage is nothing more than a bogus issue that appeals to low-info voters, but hey. He’s got to fit in with the cool kids, you know. It’s pretty pathetic, considering that moderate Republicans have fallen flat on their faces since FDR.
Romney like to lie. A lot. Whatever he thinks he needs to say to win votes, he says. Has no core values whatsoever.
Populism. but really I cannot believe Neel Kashkari is a Republican. Watched him a bit on CNBC during the financial crisis and I just wouldn’t have guessed it.
In his glossy flyer I received today he states that he worked for the US Treasury under Pres. Bush, helping to lead our nation through the 2007 financial crisis.
Kashkari voted for Obama in 2008 because somehow McCain was too conservative or something.
Yikes!
