Addressing the public on a Victory Day, the governor of Ukraine’s southern Kherson region trampled on the feelings of many veterans and desecrated the memory of all those who perished during the war against Nazi Germany by calling Hitler a “liberator.”
Governor of Kherson region Yuri Odarchenko was booed by thousands including WWII veterans when he told the previously cheering crowd that the Soviet Union tried to enslave Ukraine, while Hitler on the other hand tried to bring freedom to their land.
“Those [Soviet] aggressors justified their capture not only by their desire to seize others' territory and enslave the people, but they also put forward slogans about liberating nations and people that inhabit the lands which Hitler hoped to capture,” Odarchenko told the crowd.
Painting his version of the events further, he challenged history by saying that “if you read history books, we have a number of documentaries on this, then we see that he [Hitler] first of all put forward a slogan of liberating people from the communist yoke, and liberating people from the tyrant Stalin,” Odarchenko said, sparking anger and outraged by the crowd.
As thousands yelled out “shame”, a young woman with a child approached the governor, stripped him of the microphone, before throwing it away.

From a Russian point of view they choose to ignore Holdomor and of course preventing the Russians from “liberating” Prague by remnants of the German armed and uniformed Vlasoff’s Ukrainian army. They were fighting the Russians then the SS which they drove out surrendering the Czech capital to the Czech resistance. Thus keeping the Russians out temporairily. As their reward the Czechs gave the Ukrainians a death sentence by handing them over to the Russians.
And don't bother with BS about that not being Ukrainian volunteers, I have uncles who took those SS bastards prisoner at camps and they thought they'd get out of everything by saying just what you said.
Come on, both sides in the Ukraine have plenty of blood on their hands if you want to go back to WWII and both have blood on their hands since, at the moment with a slight edge going to the Right Sector and their pals running the country for using the Ukrainian Army against protestors and civilians no worse than they were when they were seizing power.
Pretending the jerkoffs who overthrew the government are anything but one coalition of factions that took over by force is the biggest scam of all and excusing one idiot on one side while condemning the idiots on the other is just a way to avoid the hard realities of the Ukraine.

Nazis "liberate" Ukrainians from the Soviets in WWII.
Some Ukrainians kill Jews during WWII.
Nazis then exterminate 3 million Ukrainians during WWII.
Soviets "liberate" Ukrainians from Nazis during WWII.
Soviets impose communism on Ukrainians after WWII.
The Cold War results in Ukrainians being liberated from the Soviets.
2014, along comes Putin.

If we were invaded, occupied and brutalized by the Soviets from 1919 to 1941 (that’s 22 years) and then the Nazis (who the Soviets had been issuing a huge propaganda stream against for almost a decade) invaded and were telling everyone in America (after 22 years of brutal Soviet oppression) that they were there to free America from the Soviets, how many Americans would sign up with the SS do you think? Seriously, how many? Don’t be a coward. Don’t back away from this question. Tell me how many would sign up? Most studies say about 2 million Ukrainians served the Nazis in some fashion. How many Americans would have done it in the same circumstances?

The country promised all sorts of reforms to the various regions of the country when they voted to be part of Ukraine instead of going it alone. The reforms to this day haven't happened. The people in charge repainted the buildings, changed department names, changed the window dressing, and kept all the corrupt Soviet style machinery in place.
Ever since various factions have been fighting over who gets the biggest share of the corruption, not over how to reform the country.
The country is in or very nearly in a state of Civil War because no one believes a word the Kiev Kiddies say about finally doing what was supposed to be done decades ago and the Kiev Kiddies haven't done anything to convince the people otherwise. People believe Kiev won't do anything except keep the same corrupt system running with the Right Sector types having more power than they had before.
