I musta missed something.

All the news media keeps telling me that, not only is the tea party for old, fat white males, but it’s dead, too.

Shannon received 32% to Lankford's 30.8% in a poll commissioned by the Tea Party Express.

I always find polls commissioned by the campaign to be suspect. No doubt Lankford can release a poll showing him up by 5.

Electing conservative U.S. Senators are nice.

Electing the next Ted Cruz or Mike Lee is better.

We’re talking about two different polls here.

The first one showing Shannon ahead was released by a firm with connections to Shannon. So I took that one with a grain of salt.

This second poll here.. as is stated in your quote.. was released by the Tea Party Express. NOT Shannon!

And by the way.. when this race started he was 37 points down!

So to have any poll showing him now LEADING is freaking awesome.

This guy will be the next Ted Cruz. I know him personally.

He is Ted Cruz.. just a shade darker.

Shannon was most recently Speaker of the House in Oklahoma. As Speaker, Shannon led some of the most Conservative sessions in Oklahoma history.

Oklahoma passed an immigration law tougher than Arizona. Oklahoma defunded the arts. Oklahoma restricted abortions. Oklahoma cut the budget and cut taxes. Oklahoma passed open carry. Oklahoma voted not to participate in Obamacare.

T.W. Shannon is the former Speaker of the House in the Oklahoma legislature. He was elected by his Republican colleagues as the youngest and first African American House Speaker.

He’s also been called “the most conservative Speaker in State History.”

T.W. Shannon believes that government programs create a cycle of dependency that robs people of their dignity and traps them in generational poverty. If he’s elected to the Senate, he will be a powerful voice for freedom.

Good news.

But remember OK has primary runoffs. Many freepers are supporting Randy Brogdon, a third major candidate that’s siphoning support from Shannon. There are also several minor candidates further splitting the vote, it would be hard to get 50%.

A Shannon/Lankford runoff appears to be very likely.

Sounds like a libtard nightmare. I've always said we don't need 51 of these people in the U.S. Senate. We only need about a dozen. They will give the wobblies a much needed spine.

Yep Oklahoma does have runoffs! A 50 percent runoff!

When a head-to-head runoff between Shannon and Lankford was polled, Shannon held an 8-point lead over Lankford, which is consistent with the 10-point lead Shannon had in Public Opinion Strategies poll conducted on behalf of a group that supports Shannon.

Yep.

His opponent Lankford is TOTAL GOP-e. And is endorsed by the Huckster.

Congressman Lankford’s record includes:

Voted to raise the debt limit three times. (2013 RCV #30, 2011 RCV #677, 2011 RCV #690)

Voted to fund Obamacare four times. (2013 RCV #640, 2011 RCV #941, 2011 RCV #719, 2011 RCV #179)

Voted for the Ryan-Murray budget agreement that increased spending, raised taxes, and cut benefits to military retirees. (2013 RCV #640)

Voiced support for amnesty for illegal immigrants as well as a path to citizenship. (AP, 7/10/13)

Voted to allow the National Security Agency (NSA) to continue its bulk collection of phone record data. (2013 RCV #412)

Voted against strengthening the work requirements in the food stamp program for individuals receiving benefits. (2013 RCV #283)

Voted to allow farmers making over $250,000 a year to continue to receive crop insurance subsidies. (2013 RCV #276, 2011 RCV #455)

Voted to protect programs like the Legal Services Corporation (2012 RCV#219) and the Economic Development Agency. (2012 RCV #207)

This second poll here.. as is stated in your quote.. was released by the Tea Party Express. NOT Shannon!

But who are backing Shannon. Same difference.

About all you can say about the race in Oklahoma is that yes, it's a whole lot closer than it was when Shannon was 37 points down. He may be ahead, he may not. Even the Tea Party poll would be within the margin of error. In any case it'll be an interesting primary.

I gotcha. Yes they are backing him.

Here’s the thing. It’s a runoff primary.

Lankford has to get to 50 percent. And he won’t be able to.. with polls showing Shannon ahead.

Shannon will take this race either in the first round or DEF in the runoff.

This would be a GREAT pickup!

It’s not getting much attention in the Conservative media.

But they need to be paying attention to it.
