Add another drop of tragedy to the story of Americas reluctant, no-boots-on-the-ground operation in Libya in 2011: Weapons that were never secured after Muammar Gaddafis ouster made their way to Boko Haram, the Islamist terrorist organization now holding hundreds of Nigerian girls. Last May, Boko Haram staged an attack in the town of Bama, killing 55 innocents and freeing 100 prisoners. That month Reuters ran a story by Tim Cocks headlined Nigerias Islamists staging bolder, deadlier comeback. It explained:
The Bama attack showed their substantial firepower, including machine guns, large numbers of rocket propelled grenades (RPGs) and pick-up trucks mounted with anti-aircraft guns, a sign the weapons flood from the Libyan war that helped rebels seize parts of Mali last year has reached Nigeria, officials say.

What difference does it make anyway? Just repeating what I heard a Sec of State once say!

Add another drop of tragedy to the story of Americas reluctant, no-boots-on-the-ground operation in Libya in 2011Because, you know, everything went so smoothly when we had boots on the ground in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Does anybody think this guy, or others, wouldn't have at least equally criticized a policy of aggressive American intervention?

I know that during the testimony last week my congressman asked if the events in Mali were related to Benghazi. I believe the answer was possible but unsure.

It bares emphasizing that report was published on February 20, 2013, in a reputable and well-read source. Since then, the US has continued to arm the terrorists in Syria and created mayham in Ukraine, now with organized neo-Nazis involved. Only Egypt's military and Assad have tried to stop the mayham we've created.
I'm wondering (pure speculation) if the Obama administration is unwilling to step on the toes of black leadership in Africa, no matter how ineffective it is. It's outrageous that Nigeria, a relatively prosperous nation, does not protect its children.

Why did Hillary and Obama use American taxpayer dollars to provide personnel, equipment and funds to overthrow the government of Libya?

Kadafi (or however it is spelled) had become peaceful after Bush instituted regime change in Iraq. He had become content to just stay within his borders and oppress his people.
Leave it to El-Presidente to choose the wrong side in any conflict.

I wonder if this “gutsy” committee will call McCain to testify. Since it’s established that he met with terrorists in Syria, he might be able to say if they were using US weapons.

"no boots on the ground..."? Let someone try, we`ll see what happens to them come the November election cycle! No more policing the f-ing world! We`re bankrupt already, or is that bankruptcy A-OK but the one brought on by taking care of deadbeats the bad one?
Didn`t Frankenstein`s monster have a similar line? "Bankruptcy from militarism, GO-OOD! Bankruptcy from deadbeats, BA-AAD!

Is Boko Haram the group that recently kidnapped 200 Nigerian girls to sell into slavery or use as slaves themselves?
Isn’t ANYONE in the MSM/gov going to mention this and other atrocities carried out by Moslems?
I am waiting for the press conference.

Looks like to me that boko haram is now loosely associated with al queada. This should give them a pass with this administration. Hence, we have a toothless “team” entering the country to do little of anything except establish a pr base for the adm. When all they had to do is shoot down these bastards with cia satellite info/intel in minutes.
