It’s terrible that people died today in Odessa, especially peaceful Ukrainians who were not expecting a band of violent people armed by Moscow. As for those in the building, they have no one to blame but themselves.
Exactly right. Like we have been saying for weeks. It’s only the Putinistas who have been cheering on the kidnap, murder and mayhem. It’s terrible and the entire violent drama in E. & S. Ukraine is Made In Russia.

Yes, I gree, there are no innocents, but remember, the shooting didn’t start until someone hijacked a FIRE TRUCK, and drove it through a street barricade, injuring several people.

Many of the Ukrainian protestors were teenagers that’s true. The dead in the trade union building were clearly much older. Moreover, 15 of them have been identified as Russian nationals.
By the way, the shooting by Putin’s hooligans started even before the incident with the fire truck. Two people were already shot dead by them, including an elderly bystander. Also, I’m not sure how shooting in a crowd will protect a gunman from a fire truck.

Were I the Ukranians, I would offer the same options to the pro-EU contingents in the western regions.
Anything other than Ukrainian independence for Ukrainian people in Ukrainian territory is someone's foreign agenda.
We would and will have the same problems here in the USA if/when the Spanish-speaking foreigners decide they want to exert absolute control and tyranny over the English-speaking US citizens. When such time comes, (it may be already here), we should offer the same options to our infiltrating insects.

They keep trying to bait the Russians to become overtly militarily involved.
If the Russians become overtly involved militarily, that justifies tons of US covert help that this US administration will respond with.
That will turn it into a proxy war that will be labeled by the press as a “civil war”.
The idea will be at the end Ukraine will be divided into East/West Ukraine.
Such a tragedy that the “powers that be” love the idea of partitioning Ukraine through the use of war.
Russia could simply show enormous restraint and respond by simply continuing to publish their view that the government in Kiev is riddled with US/EU influence at the highest levels, and is thus really not legitimate.
If only the financial elites would allow Ukraine to trade with both sides as it has for 20 years.
And not insist on absorbing them into the EU.
Thousands upon thousands of lives could be saved from agonizing deaths.
