Benghazi Cover-Up: The administration's tangled web of deceit now includes lying about prior lies as the White House press secretary tries to cover up its cover-up of why four Americans died in a terrorist attack.
No, that was not Winston Smith, the rewriter of history working for the Ministry of Truth in George Orwell's classic novel "1984," tap-dancing once again before a no-longer-sycophantic White House press corps. Rather, it was that master storyteller, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney.
Carney shamefully continued to insist that when then-U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice went on five Sunday talk shows days after the 2012 attack to offer an untrue story that Benghazi was the result of an inflammatory video, she was acting on the best intelligence offered by the intelligence community.
Carney said this knowing that Mike Morell, CIA deputy director two years ago, testified before Congress and said the video story did not come from CIA analysts.
As for the emails that showed the administration's motives for the story were political, to protect a president running for re-election and a secretary of state that wanted to be his successor, Carney offered his entry for 2014 Lie Of The Year: The emails obtained by the watchdog group Judicial Watch in a lawsuit specifically seeking Benghazi documents weren't really about Benghazi.
Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said in an interview on TheBlaze TV that the newly released emails bring questions about the slaughter "into the White House, and it shows that the idea that the CIA created the talking points that Susan Rice was using is a big fat lie."

Now we know that Barack Obama was in the White House but NEVER MADE IT to the Situation Room the night of the Benghazi Attack on 9-11 2012.
This was after Islamists stormed the US Embassy in Cairo earlier in the day.
Obama never made it to the Situation Room.
Tommy Vietor was there. Obama wasn’t.
Tommy Vietor: I was in the Situation Room that night. Ok.
And we didn’t know where the ambassador was. Definitively.
Bret Baier: Was the president in the Situation Room?
Vietor: No…
Baier: Where was the president.
Vietor: In the White House.
Baier: He wasn’t in the Situation Room.
Vietor: Uhh. At what point in the evening. He was constantly… It’s well known that when the attack was first briefed to him it was in the Oval Office. And he was updated constantly…
Baier: Sp then when Hillary Clinton talks to him by phone at 10 PM, he’s where?
Vietor: I don’t know. I don’t have a tracking device on him in the residence.
Baier: But you were in the Situation Room and he wasn’t there.
Vietor: Yes.
The Consulate was under attack and Obama never made it downstairs to the Situation Room!

The act of asserting this lie is enough to muddy the waters for Democrats.
The top-of-the hour news reports that “Republicans claim to have found the smoking gun: an email they say links the White House to a cover up of the Benghazi controversy. But The White House denies this. The president’s spokesman, Jay Carney, denied that the email contained any new information, and accused his opponents of playing politics.”
Most people don’t have enough information to make any sense of this kind of reporting, and it just washes over them like background noise.
And the moonbats have all they need to remain in denial.
This is all calculated by the White House, so they will stick to the script, regardless of the absurdity of their press conferences. This is why Carney smirks right through the questioning.

Carney’s salary is paid by American taxpayers. Obama doesn’t write a personal check to pay Carney. The Democrat party does not pay Carney’s salary. He has forgotten who he works for. He needs to be fired.
