Last Sunday, Sarah Palin stood before the huge crowd at the 2014 National Rifle Association annual meeting and condemned liberals for coddling terrorists. She loaded her speech with religious metaphors, claiming that true leaders would put "the fear of God in our enemies." She said, "They obviously have information on plots to carry out jihad. Oh, but you can't offend them, can't make them feel uncomfortable, not even a smidgen. Well, if I were in charge, they would know that waterboarding is how we baptize terrorists."
Palin's invocation of forced baptism shocked both conservatives and liberals, inspiring few defenders. Christian commentators, in particular, focused on her link between torture and baptism.
On Wednesday, the National Religious Campaign against Torture released a powerful condemnation of the speech. To Palin, the organization's executive director wrote, "Your statements play into a false narrative conveying that somehow, the conflict between the United States and the terrorist cells is a conflict between Christianity and Islam, or Islam and 'the West.'"(continued)

I love it when she goes too far! Sort of like the smell of napalm in the morning!
Go, Sarah, go!
Who? "Christians" such as Jeremiah Wright? Also, waterboarding ain't torture.
Liberals refuse to call these Muslim terrorists as such. They won’t admit that they do their acts in the name of Islam.
On the other hand, luminaries such as Whoopi Goldberg call Timothy McVeigh a Christian terrorist, though he never claimed to have done his acts in the name of religion.
we’ve become such a nation of pussies...(oops, there I’ve “gone too far” again...)
Grievance mongers strike again.
David M. Perry, Associate Professor, Dominican University
Hmm...looks very smug and rather "dainty" to me, if you get my drift. Governor Sarah Palin would land a knockout blow on this mewing, puking leftist within seconds.
It looks like the liberal media finally found something from Governor Palin, that annoyed them.
This must mean that the honeymoon is over.
Just for some background. Dominican University was called Rosary College until a name change. Even in the mid-80s it was a hotbed of radical dissidents.
It was at a protest of feminazi/general anti-Catholic dissident Sr. Teresa Kane’s talk that I met some fine people who persuaded me to consider transferring from U of Chicago to one of the handful of serious Catholic colleges in the country.
Rich Freeman infiltrated the audience, and asked Sr. Kane if she would affirm the Catholic Church’s teaching that a direct procured abortion was the same as killing Christ Himself. She stated that she “could not answer that question”. I asked about some organization taking Playboy Foundation money, and she begged off on that as well.
Three cheers for Sarah Palin, and none for those givung her hell.
Yup. Major Fruit-Alert. Suddenly all these non-religious types are worried about the misuse of the word “baptism.” Sadly, some people right here on FR fall for this silly stuff.
they obviously didn't check with my support group..........
What difference does it make?
He looks gay.
National Religious Campaign against Torture ????
Given that the islamist claim that Islam is a religion and beting that they hold a “comfortable” number of :seats on this “campaign” I can see how the “National Religious Campaign against Torture” might say that.
Time for a New Crusade!
Sarah “lives in their (msm) heads”....! I LOVE IT...!
This guy can go back to 1349 to dump on Palin. I doubt he can go back 7 days to dump on Obama. Look at the evidence he actually did some research. Think he does any research on the kid from Kenya?
CNN - IOW, coddle those people who tried to kill you or have killed innocents.
This leftist freak needs to baptized with a water balloon and then a cream pie, in that order.
Why should this guy care what she says??
