Trust in nearly every federal government institution has fallen in the last year among young adults, according to a new poll by Harvard's Institute of Politics.
The survey of 18-to-29-year-old adults released Tuesday found overall trust in the federal government stands at 20 percent, a 2-point drop since last year....

My daughter is at a very progressive private law school. Her attitude and that of her peers runs deep with distrust of government. There are a few holdouts, but those are legacy privileged brats.
Sadly, I’m afraid the trust is because the Government CAN’T deliver what it promises... I wonder what the number would be if the Gov was promising true FREEDOM...
This is the clincher about where we are:

I don’t have much faith in the yutes. Everytime I hear them complain and moan about the government it is because they aren’t doing enough for them or giving them enough goodies.

Sadly, their inclination is often to credulously follow a new statist to sit atop the massive apparatus of government. You know, a nice guy, who is hip and socially acceptable.
I think I have a strategy.
As soon as we have the Presidency, the Left will begin going off on the the ‘dictator’ in the oval office.
That is the time to concede that the Federal government is far to powerful and give in to the Leftist demands with a massive divestiture of Federal power.
