I married a man of Cuban descent.
I retained his name after the divorce,therefore,by having his last name I am a Latina,at least in the eyes of the govn’t and businesses.
All the mail,and even interpreters that I have access to says so.

Well they certainly vote like people of color and come from non-western cultures.
But the reality is they are as invested in this country as anyone who works & pays taxes and have much to lose in an increasingly socialized country.
What’s ironic is that the region represented by Assemblyman Alejo was where in 1941 and 1942 all Asians of Japanese heritage were rounded up and placed into concentration camps. This was done by the Democrat Roosevelt administration. Alejo is an idiot.

The word “latino” has been totally hijacked to mean something completely different than what it really is.
Asians are the new “White” for the progressive/socialist establishment!

It has been that way for at least 20 years. Asians have not been part of the EEO or AA group in job selection, promotion, nor College/Grad School admissions.
It sucks being a minority in a culture where hard work and studiousness are emphasized. Better to be in one where sloth, blame and low expectations are the norm.

It was true pre-Zimmerman (if you checked Hispanic on census forms there was a sub-question about color). Even more so now, since it is OK to discriminate against White Hispanics since Zimmerman.
Sort of how black baseball players from Cuba and the Dominican Republic aren’t regarded as authentically “black” by black Americans.
Mexico has about 20 million whites living there—especially in the northern part of the country. Nations like Argentina and Uruguay are over 90% white due to intense immigration from Italy, Spain, Portugal and France in the early-mid 20th century.
Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, and Venezuela have about 5-10% black in their mix.

This would be correct—don’t fall for what American Liberal drool has told you over the years regarding a nationality. Most people in Central/South America refer to themselves as Ecuadorean, Costa Rican, Mexican..etc
The idea of lumping all these groups under one banner as a “race” is a recent commie tactic. Having lived in Mexico for the better part of a decade, I can tell you there is a clear caste system down there and ethnic strife. I bet it’s worse in places like Colombia and Peru where there are even more groups of people.
Lots of Basques in Northern Mexico and other parts of South America. Basques are not Hispanic

Tons of Basques in Northern Mexico. Mom is “half-spanish/half-basque” if that makes sense. Sad thing in Spain is, that most ethnic-Basques don’t even speak Basque.
Every Caucasian I know is shades of some other color. I know nobody who is "white". That person would be a pure albino. Almost no people have zero melanin and are albino.
