Newly-elected Rep. Vance McAllister, R-La., will not seek re-election in November, according to a local report.
Earlier this month, surveillance footage leaked of McAllister kissing one of his congressional staffers. The incident led to multiple calls for his resignation, including from Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal.
“I am committed to serving the 5th District to the best of my ability through this term, but I also have to take care of my family as we work together to repair and strengthen the relationship I damaged,” McAllister told the News-Star, which also reported that McAllister will complete the rest of his term.

I agree this needed to happen but when I think of Clinton and the whole “stay out of the bedroom” mantra I get a little frustrated. Especially when the bedroom was the Oval Office.

The rats are fornicating scum bags and everybody knows it. When they cheat, lie and steal it's expected. When someone runs for office claiming to be a family values, faithful Christian a little more is expected from them. He desreves to be run out of town.
That is because Rats only care about power. They don’t care what they have to d to get it or what they have done. There are no moral absolutes in the Rat party.

I have read that it was on video, but I haven’t viewed it myself.

He could have stolen Vitter’s Senate seat (assuming he wins in 2015) with all his money and made the runoff.
It is lucky the way it happened.
Right now, all eyes are on Neil Riser, who is benefitting from Buyer’s Remorse. The ball is in his court.
Is Elbert Guillory still set on running for Lt. Gov. in 2015? Would he rather be Lt. Gov. than congressman? (His hometown of Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, is in the district.) Of course, he could serve in Congress, and then run in the 2015 Lt. Gov. jungle primary, and if he loses the election he can stay in Congress. Guillory is one guy that no RINO or closet Dem could beat in a run-off, since Guillory would get both the conservative vote and a relatively large chunk of the black vote.

I live in LA-01, but LA-05 was redistricted right up north of me, so the district is technically my next-door neighbor.
Man what a fiasco. This guy was a fraud ideologically and personally, and too many voters in that district were eager to crown him the next tea party triumph without checking into his background. Being an outsider can be great, but I wish people would acknowledge warning signs when they appear.
This was about the fastest crash and burn in LA politics since Congressman Richard Tonry in 1977.
Amen. This has become a serious problem.
