KEEP MOVING
A college class was graduating on a hot and humid day. As the graduates walked across the platform and received their diplomas from the president of the college, he smiled, shook their hands, and said loudly, "Congratulations!" Then, in a much lower voice, one that was firm and could be heard only by the graduates, he would say, "Keep moving". He was only trying to keep the line moving across the stage, but his words were good advice for a lifetime: "Keep moving". After every achievement growing up, graduation, marriage, job promotion, even retirement the best advice is, "Keep moving. Don't stop. Don't stagnate". There is more to life than you have found thus far. This is not the end; it is only the beginning. "Keep moving." When we approach life with this attitude, we look forward to the future and what God has in store for us.

Thanks. I recall reading a speech by Patton in which he said basically the same thing in different words.

Another bridge by the 208th. Unsure of where or when this one was built. Pretty sure it is not the Rhine as my Father told me they had to curve the Rhine bridges into the current as it was very swift.

Good evening, Mac...*HUGS*...and a Blessed Lord’s Day to the MacNessa family.
Did you get any gardening done? Catch up on your sleep?
Rain has threatened all day here, but nothing has come of it. Yesterday evening and today has been a lot of Mom time. Working on how to use, and find lost stuff, on Outlook. She’s coming from a Mac downstairs to a PC, and moving her office, upstairs. We are slogging, but her initial thoughts of “giving up” seem to have passed. I cannot let her give up.

I am not certain but I think it is part of a mine boom designed to catch any mines floated down the river.
I once read a book about German frogmen who attempted to attach mines to the pontoon bridges across the Rhine. They failed partly due to the really strong current and partly due to guards catching them when they tried to get around the mine booms. None of the attacks were successful.

No gardening today - John-Man had to go up to Frederick, MD for Lifeguard re-certification - an all day project. I drove him up in the morning and went back up to get him this evening. We got home around 10:00 p.m.
A little rain here - a cold front came through early this evening. We'll try to get out into the Garden tomorrow - lots needs to be done in the next week or two.

TAKE UP THE CROSS, AND FOLLOW ME
"I Vow To Thee My Country" Choir Of King's College, Cambridge (Click)
"I vow to thee, my country, all earthly things above, Entire and whole and perfect, the service of my love; The love that asks no question, the love that stands the test, That lays upon the altar the dearest and the best; The love that never falters, the love that pays the price, The love that makes undaunted the final sacrifice.
And there's another country, I've heard of long ago, Most dear to them that love her, most great to them that know; We may not count her armies, we may not see her King; Her fortress is a faithful heart, her pride is suffering; And soul by soul and silently her shining bounds increase, And her ways are ways of gentleness, and all her paths are peace."
"Arm yourselves, and be ye men of valour, and be in readiness for the conflict; For it is better for us to perish in battle than to look upon the outrage of our nation and our altars. As the Will of God is in Heaven, even so let it be."

My computer has decided to start acting up. I’m very frustrated, been working on it since noon.
Mrs SR will be home from MI in about 5 minutes.

This weekend is shaping up to be a “Mom needs things” weekend. Last night and today was computer help, and cleaning a closet help. Later tonight I’ll put her new chair together. It’s an office chair for the garage. We got her a new office chair and the arms work really well for helping her get up and out. When she is in the garage puttering she needs to sit and then be able to get up. She needs a chair with arms.
OfficeMax had a 6 hour sale and lo and behold....the same office chair was 1/2 price. Now I need to put it together.
