Midway through the fist half-hour of the Limbaugh show this afternoon the air suddenly went dead for a couple minutes - then audio returned with a clip of the supposed awful Bundy talk on "negroes" et al - then another minute or two of dead air, finally cutting back to Rush in mid-sentence. Thinking that I'm not that far around the bend yet, I'm wondering who else experienced this? - was it just in the Philly area, or more widespread - or are the hallucination starting after all....
Probably nothing more than testing. Making sure that it can be shut off permanently when the time comes...

I noticed an interruption, too. I didn’t think much of it, since the station on occasion will lose the feed or something. So, I didn’t pay attention to whatever it was.
The show gets piped in to local stations and run through the local’s broadcast board. This is how they patch in local ads, weather, PSAs. So someone in your local station could have done this and the rest of the stations would not be affected.
If someone monkeyed with the national feed we’d all hear it. Any chance this was recorded? FCC might like a copy.

This used to happen a LOT in a blue Southern city where I used to reside. The radio station was one of the most powerful in the nation. Yet these interruptions were routine. ONLY on the Rush show. Sports and fluff seemed to be immune from the effect.
Very possible....the Left is so afraid of the “Truth” and “thinking” masses.
I listened to an interview with A. Huxley recently, in ‘58 on youtube, and he was stating how technology (then) could be used by a “few” to control the worldview and perceptions of people.
(I remember when a few Soap Operas addicted my mother in the 60s (she never watched tv prior to soaps—it was very disturbing how TV could be so addictive.)
Huxley was talking about people living in an irrational reality, that was constructed by a very few elite people, who could control the technology and the publications and schools, etc., therefore, the worldview of the people. The basic structure for total control was being constructed.
Anyone who talks to a “liberal” knows what Huxley was talking about, and we are there.....almost. The crack in the Matrix was Talk Radio in the 80s and with the internet and Homeschoolers....Their control is evaporating....BUT, they are not giving up-—Common Core is their desperate grasp for the minds of all the children.
Get all the children away from the Natural Family and nature and real experiences, and create zombies who interact only with machines and believe any irrational thing (group think) since they have such limited real life experiences. Children who rarely interact with humans are dehumanized and the ability in becoming “mature” is lost (control emotions when dealing with others). Emotions controlling Reason is the result of conditioning. Without Reason, chaos will become the norm and NIKE ethics eject Christian worldview.
No possibility of a Ben Franklin or Lincoln or Mark Twain or Gen. Patton who had lots of human interactions in a family, and worked in childhood, (true self-esteem/autonomy) and rarely went to “institutions” to be conditioned into “group think” and dependency. Gen Patton was never “cowed” by any “group” think institutions......he was exceptional and a genius and would be drugged today in our current school system.

I realize most of these comments are tongue in cheek but I fear a few might be serious.

Patton was dyxlexic as a youngster, so he had great difficulties in reading. To work around his disability, he learned how to memorize speech. He would have someone else read the classical literature to him, and he memorized the material to recite it back as needed.
Interruptions happen - no big deal if it’s just dead air - it’s what was broadcast instead of the regular program that spooked me - the very most inflammatory part of the currently hottest nationwide get-the-conservatives issue - at least I’m glad it wasn’t just me - thanks....
I recall once when W Bush was on TV and someone “accidentally” pasted a big X over his face. oops sorry, purely accidental.
I remember that as well.
I didn’t notice any cutting out, but I listen via laptop and radio streaming over the internet. It is not unusual for my internet to cut in an out.
Isn’t it amazing that in the days before special education programs, the method of learning was work a little harder?
