After Breitbart Texas reported on the U.S. Bureau of Land Managements (BLM) intent to seize 90,000 acres belonging to Texas landholders along the Texas/Oklahoma line, Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott questioned the BLMs authority to take such action.
I am about ready, General Abbott told Breitbart Texas, to go to go to the Red River and raise a Come and Take It flag to tell the feds to stay out of Texas.
Gen. Abbott sent a strongly-worded letter to BLM Director Neil Kornze, asking for answers to a series of questions related to the potential land grab.
I am deeply concerned about the notion that the Bureau of Land Management believes the federal government has the authority to swoop in and take land that has been owned and cultivated by Texas landowners for generations, General Abbott wrote. The BLMs newly asserted claims to land along the Red River threaten to upset long-settled private property rights and undermine fundamental principlesincluding the rule of lawthat form the foundation of our democracy. Yet, the BLM has failed to disclose either its full intentions or the legal justification for its proposed actions. Decisions of this magnitude must not be made inside a bureaucratic black box.
In an exclusive interview with Breitbart Texas, General Abbott said, This is the latest line of attack by the Obama Administration where it seems like they have a complete disregard for the rule of law in this country ...And now theyve crossed the line quite literally by coming into the State of Texas and trying to claim Texas land as federal land. And, as the Attorney General of Texas I am not going to allow this.

Nothin’ humble ‘bout that...
I know who I am voting for, for governor!
(Naturalized Texan here also)
Both governators need to call out their Guards to protect the peeps.
I disagree with your formulation.
This is no time to be using Greek to express a Texas/Oklahoma sentiment in good old Southwestern English phraseology, namely:
"If you think you got the hosses, bud, come try to take it !!"
We're gonna throw you off because its US land, to
we're gonna come in and take it over because once upon a time, it was in contention?
--------
Kinda ballsy for a bunch of unelected, brown nosing, jackboot lickin' loudmouths.
OH! That's what BLM stands for...Ballsy Loud Mouths!
-----
BRING IT, suckers!
BTTT
Great timing BLM. This will take the eyes off the legal situation in Nevada and appear to be a continuation of Federal land grabs.
You might have had some sympathy with your legal argument against the Bundys, but now you’re messing with Texas.
One word....WATER.
Agenda 21. that’s your ultimate answer.
Probably a couple rogue agents out of the Cincinatti office dreamed this up.
Agenda 21. The waterways are to be the gov't owned corridors of connections between other gov't lands and heavily restricted lands to promote BioDiversity.
I own land on that river...I’ll be there
BLM will be dancin` the Texas 2-step
And I thought a president arming a government agency like an army and using it against American citizens was a violation of the Constitution and Posse Comitatus. What this goon did against Bundy was send a army against an American citizen for a civil matter. that is a violation of Posse Comitatus and calls for imprisonment of Obama as it is a crime
We are here in Louisiana. if they do that to Texas we will come to support Texas as the cowboys did to support Bundy
I wonder what Windy Davis is muttering about this?
solar panels, wind turbines, turtles..????
Bureau of Land MISMANAGEMENT is more to the point!
This damned government is out of control and needs a serious attitude adjustment!
Maybe just to set a precedent.
After all, obama campaigned on it...yes we can.
I had the idea to do a cartoon of Despicable Reid by putting Harry Reids face on the body of the cartoon character. C’mon Freepers?
“way past time for some “ALTERING AND ABOLISHING”
Damned right!
