Conservative commentator Charles Krauthammer told Special Report with Bret Baier Wednesday night that the window had passed on prosecuting the Obama administration Benghazi, and that the GOPs disorganzed approach to congressional hearings had let Benghazi as an issue slip away.
Politically speaking the administration has won, Krauthammer said. They ran out the clock. If we had had a select committee from the beginning, really had coherent hearings unlike what weve had, which were disjointed hearings, that let all things sort of slip away we really would have been somewhere. We would have gotten to the bottom of this. But as a political fact, this thing is done.
Im as outraged as everybody about this, Krauthammer continued. I just think that as a political issue the country is now tired of it, and to rev it up with a special committee is not going to work. I wish it had happened, and I do think the Republicans in the hearings that they had, which were completely disorganized, let this thing slip away. Sometimes you blow it.

But by saying that quote, isn’t Krauthammer wearing a French maid uniform in his chair and sweeping the last of Benghazi under Obama’s rug??
There is no statute of limitations on MURDER.
It’s done for Obama. It’s waiting for Hilly.
He is like a small insect to me.
We agree again.
What is the old expression, Krautie?? Not part of the solution??
The Republicans should have continually had the families of those murdered go up and demand investigations.
Republicans have not been coherent on the problem.
They still can! And should! All summer we should see those families. GET ON THE BALL. Rush, Sean, etc, should all feature these families on their shows, pushing for a REAL INDEPENDENT INQUIRY.
Fight so loud they have to show it on TV.
True, the Stupid party comes in second, but remember, the Evil party comes in next to last!
okay
Wonder how much Kraut charged 0bama/Clinton for that statement.
;-)
And not a cute small insect, either.
I agreeing general, but do not diminish the significance of Benghazi. The cover up conspiracy, from ob down, alone seems far more serious than watergate.
Thanks for posting that link-I missed that article earlier.
You really don't understand what he's saying, you pitiful thing.
Sorry Charlie, Benghazi may not be the freshest fish in the sea, but it forever.
The GOPe, led by Lance Prius, John Cornyn and Carl Rove are the indisputable Blue Ribbon Grand Champion Masters at this. No situation is immune from being blown by the rubes in charge of the Republican Party. I made a prediction way back that they would manage to force Chris Christy or some other northeastern liberal down our throat as the nominee, but it now looks like it might be Jeb. (Unlike his elder bro who was born in CT, Jeb is a Texan by birth.)
I totally disagree- It IS a done deal politically, the dims skate as usual, nothing will ever be done now. Not that I am happy about the situation, but that’s the way it is, folks- show’s over.
What’s up with the Kraut? He seems to be leaning left after his many recent luncheons with George Will.
Two old jaded pundits?
IMO, he is like most right wing ‘icons’. He’s a Ben Franklin Conservative. The Green paper kind.
I have listened to Rush for a while now and like what he says. But when he admitted on air after the Pelosi rout a few years back that he had been ‘carrying Republican water” I finialy accepted as truth his statement that he was an entertainer.
And Rush has far more cred than any of them.
“Ben Franklin conservative.”
Good one.
I have no problem with them making a buck. But when someone like Beck goes from raging right winger to gay marriage iffy, When coulter rails against liberals then dates one and is STILL on Team Romney and when this jackass is ready to piss away our people’s lives to go along/get along...F’ them all.
Their actions define them.
