Hi Sis.
I’m sorry I’m not more talkative tonight.
Guess I am a little “owly”

Up is always easier for me. But going up means you have to come down...then the problems start.
This is our arrangement.
We've had the longer one for 3 or 4 years. Both my Mom and Dad needed it. Now my Mom's mobility has gotten worse, so we added the shorter one a few months ago. Without it, my Mom would be stuck up or down.

LOL! Good evening, yarddog....I don’t cook either. I can open cans with the best of them, and I can follow the directions on the box.
And I have my trusty microwave!

The kitchen, whether fine dining or military, is for young men. And that time has passed me by. Don't say that. I've heard Anthony Bourdain say the same thing. I'm looking for a job. Working in a kitchen will do nicely.

Cool! I’m glad he likes them.
I got my Mom a cane with 4 feet and she’s pretty good about keeping it with her. And I have a 6’ hand rail down the hall, and last week we traded in the suburban for a Subaru Outback. The look of satisfaction on her face when she could get in without stepping up was worth everything.
And when my sister was here we started the move of her office upstairs...another thing to make life easier.
One day at a time...we are managing.

Oh, yes....I LOVE to cook...and eat...my creations.
Tonight, I made an all-from-scratch tuna rice casserole. NO cream of mushroom soup from a can here, thank you. It wasn’t fancy, but it turned out very good. The kids loved it. I do my best to cook from scratch, except when I’m really tired or in a big hurry.
The most exotic(but surprisingly easy) thing I’ve ever made was Pineapple Foster. It’s like Bananas Foster, but I sauteed strips of fresh-cut pineapple instead of bananas in the same brown sugar-cinnamon sauce as you would a Bananas Foster. I substituted pineapple juice for banana liqueur. I still flambe’d the sauce in the end with dark rum. It was served over home-made coconut ice cream.
I do like to experiment in the kitchen, just to try things out. MOST of the time, they work.
