Jeb Bush, if he decides to run for president in 2016, and by some horrific nightmare, wins the White House, will bring about the apocalypse that will officially make America a footnote in history books that chronicle once great civilizations. This may sound a bit dramatic, but the truth of the matter is that the United States will not survive another Bush presidency.
Many conservatives will bristle, arch their backs, pop out the claws, and start hissing at the mention of such a statement, but the fact is the Bush family are not true liberty-minded folks, but rather big government Progressives wearing the disguise of freedom loving Republicans.
...
The truth of the matter is that the Progressive policies of George W. Bush and President Obama do not work. They have failed to provide economic stimulation and job growth, and they have failed to make the education system more efficient. These individuals and their policies have not protected civil liberties, but have sought new ways to circumvent the Constitution, treating the American people like common criminals.
It is time for something new, something like a return to the policies of the Founding Fathers who established this great nation. Men like Jeb Bush will not be a champion for freedom, but will call for more government interference, bringing down the apocalypse that will ravage and destroy what is left of the principles that made America great, which is why, if he should choose to run, his campaign should be opposed with zeal and vigor.

I don’t think you read the article right.
“the United States will not survive another Bush presidency.
Many conservatives will bristle, arch their backs, pop out the claws, and start hissing at the mention of such a statement”
Like who? Ann Coulter, Tokyo Rove and George Will? LOL!
From Rand Paul"I think that the Republican Party, in order to get bigger, will have to agree to disagree on social issues," Paul advised. "The Republican Party is not going to give up on having quite a few people who do believe in traditional marriage. But the Republican Party also has to find a place for young people and others who dont want to be festooned by those issues."
Yup. And if “Christian” Rand will roll over for homo marriage, he’ll roll over for abortion. If he thinks it’ll get him more votes.
FURP!!
The end is that there is no end to Elmer Fudd and Mr. Insurance Policy.
All this anger at Bush and Clinton and Obama and none at the banksters who own and operate them. Very strange...
“No, it wont. Millions of immigrants have flooded our shores and we thrived and prospered.”
Well can you name one country in the world where we have had 11-20 million unskilled, uneducated people illegally immigrate here?
The correct answer is zero.
A “melting pot by its very nature is a diversified set of immigrants, not a significant enough number from any one country as to change our national identity.
This is a very different situation from our legal immigration system.
More from the article you quoted:
“If one carefully reads through the Constitution, it becomes apparent rather quickly that the ability to regulate marriage is not one of the powers granted to the federal government. Any power not specifically listed in the Constitution, is then left up to the states, so at the very least, same-sex marriage should be decided by the people of each individual state, not at the federal level.”
Didn’t he just describe Ted Cruz’s position, which by the way, is the same as Rand Paul’s?
I have that same question about Rand and abortion, there is no smoking gun yet, but I can’t help but feel that he might not really be so pro-life as he claims.
Rand grew up with politics and seeing his father try to woo conservatives and republicans, and like many libertarians here, he knows that he can’t be seen as weak on that issue and still expect to have a platform to promote the rest of the social liberal agenda of the libertarians to the conservatives that he wants to convert to social liberalism.
Politicians who aren’t truly social conservative, are always the weakest.
I once had hopes for Texas but time is not on its side what with the inflow of illegals from South America and liberals from other states, changing the electorate there. When does the word "impossible" take effect? Soon, I bet.
You are delusional. He has a 100% rating from the national right to life committee.
And his position on gay marriage never changed. He always said that it should be left to the states because regulating marriage is not one of the powers granted to the federal government.
You are just making stuff up. He was never in any way associated with the libertarian party either.
You think the federal government doesn’t have the power to regulate marriage law in the military, federal employment and immigration?
Or that as long as one state has gay marriage that the federal government isn’t allowed to recognize it for federal ares described above?
Ted Cruz is pro-marriage, and supported DOMA, and wants to end federal gay marriage.
I made nothing up, I described my personal suspicions and doubts about Paul being a dedicated libertarian and yet being so anti-abortion.
Paul has already called on the GOP to abandon marriage and accept gay marriage and to move left on social issues.
Paul had led most people to think that he was against gay marriage and was a social conservative, early in his politics.
I would say that the last 40 years of immigration destroyed us, killed us off, ended America.
Cruz, Lee introduce State Marriage Defense Act
In a statement released Thursday, Cruz said, I support traditional marriage. Under President Obama, the federal government has tried to re-define marriage, and to undermine the constitutional authority of each state to define marriage consistent with the values of its citizens. The Obama Administration should not be trying to force gay marriage on all 50 states."

Cruz is probably taking notes when he hears Rand Paul speak. He got it exactly right this time.
Jeb won’t make it past the primaries. Too many people are sick of the Bushes.
“Paul has already called on the GOP to abandon marriage and accept gay marriage and to move left on social issues.”
No. He only said that he would accept votes from people who disagree with his views about traditional marriage. He never changed his position or said that anybody should move left on social issues.
He just doesn’t think that the federal government should regulate marriage one way or the other. Maybe that’s not acceptable to you, but as I posted before, Cruz has the same position.
You’re assuming Obama will step down as emperor...
Don't know about anyone else, but if this is the best the republican party can do, party affiliation should be changed to independent. I will write in a candidate's name if push comes to shove. All RINO candidates (no matter how sugar coated they attempt to make them) set 2016 up as a third-strike candidacy. . Putting a conservative as 2nd banana won't work either. We know how useless Biden has been other than as a comedy act.
