Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush discussing immigration reform on Fox News this Sunday:
"I'm going to say this and it will be on tape, and so be it. The way I look at this is someone who comes to our country because they couldn't come legally, they come to our country because their family's dad who loves their children was worried that their children didn't have food on the table, and they wanted to make sure their family was intact. And they crossed the border because they had no other means to work to be able to provide for their family. Yes, they broke the law, but it's not a felony. it's kind of -- it's a -- it's an act of love. It's an act of commitment to your family. I honestly think that's a different kind of crime that should be, there should be a price paid, but it shouldn't be -- it shouldn't rile people up that people are actually coming to this country to provide for their families. And the idea that we're not going to fix this but with with comprehensive reform ends up trapping these people, when they could make a great contribution for their own their families but also for us.
So I think we need to get beyond the harsh political rhetoric to a better place. The great number of people who come to this country come because they have no opportunities in other places. They may love their country, but they come here because they want to provide for their families. And they can make a contribution to our country if we actually organized ourselves in a better way."

Stop the madness: secure USA borders, one language should _obviously_ already be enforced.
Jeb Bush is saying that many illegal aliens are coming here to provide a better life for their children. It’s true that given birthright citizenship, it is in the self interest of Mexicans to come here illegally and then have children. If I were Mexican maybe I’d do the same. Hmm, maybe birthright citizenship, created to give former slaves the rights of citizenship, should be curtailed.
But if people coming to the U.S. are just acting in their own interests, why can’t American citizens act in their own interests and secure the borders? Aren’t American politicians suppose to represent American citizens?
Should we conclude that the door to Jeb Bush’s house is always “wide open”?
Should we conclude that “loving squatters” are ALWAYS welcome to crash at “Jeb’s Place”?
What’s Jeb’s address again?
Maybe we can leave a few “Welcome to Jeb’s Place” pamphlets with Jeb’s address prined on them in big info-boxes place along the border.
Right where the border-fence is supposed to be....

What a simpering idiot Jeb is!
How can anyone possibly consider him as a Presidential candidate for 2016?
Yes...we will remember this!
What Jeb suggests is defacto open borders, which we've actually had in effect for some time. Only it's not enough to wink as they come across, it's not enough to turn a blind eye to the billions spent on schooling, medical care, welfare, or the billions paid for state subsidized college tuition.
It's not enough to ignore the effects on the non-elite...the ballots in 31 different languages, bi-lingual education and the consequent dumbing down of schools so that those who don't hablez Englaise can keep up, the need for translators in hospitals and schools and police stations and courts...now it's too INCONVENIENT for them to get along without documents and official status.
Talk to those who used to work in professions where they now can't make a living...because someone is willing to work under the table for much less. Talk to those whose lives have been shaken up and upended because of ID theft...related to illegal documents.
Talk to those who can't even find work, be they high school and college students or adults with less education, because someone with questionable documents is willing to work for less, because they don't pay taxes, but they get welfare and food stamps and free medical at the emergency room.
I've not even touched on the cynicism bred about the rule of law among those of us so foolish we believe in such an old fashioned notion...or about the willingness of some politicians to decide that since we aren't willing to vote for the policies they favor, they'll just import some voters who will.
I have no idea why you think you're a conservative, Mr. Bush. A conservative uses his own money and resources to bring about the change he seeks. A person who believes his vision justifies untold billions of dollars in government money (extracted from productive citizens at the point of a gun) is not a conservative, but a liberal, a progressive...by definition.
Mr. Bush, no rational person should believe anything you have to say, any of the assurances or guarantees you're prepared to make. We're told that immigrants only want to work and provide for their families, that they're willing to be responsible, law abiding citizens...we're told they will be no drain on our services or civic life. We're told we'll have a strong border at some point in the future.
Yet the facts put the lie to any assurances...if any of this were true, we wouldn't be feeling the anger we're feeling now.
You should move to Mexico and run for office, Mr. Bush. They seem to be your constituency. We obviously aren't, and we don't want you importing them as voters so you don't have to move.
Jeb has badly lost focus on what used to make America great.
It was more difficult to get into America in the past, but it was also more easy to succeed once you did.
In a way Jeb is quite correct. If you make yourself a welfare magnet, people will hustle their beloveds into your country. What that does to the country is little care to them for the time being. Oh the party will eventually collapse but what we worry?
LOL. Jeb, if crossing the border is an “act of love, then I’ve “Lost that Lovin’ Feeling!”
I believe what made America great and prosperous was the rule of law, combined with a constitution that enumerated inalienable rights. It made for a rational society and enabled citizens to live rational lives.
I suspect Jeb Bush is not a deep enough thinker to have ever understood that. Politicians can deny their policies make us less prosperous or free, but reality will not be denied.
Con men ask you to feel at the expense of thinking. Jeb Bush asks no less.
For the gated community elites, they could care less if open borders turns America into a Brazil caste system type nation. Its all the same to them as they live far above and away from the commoners. I grew up in a nation that was 89% white. The 1965 Immigration Act was what changed this balance. When you count all immigration since then (legal and illegal) it has been 90%+ non white. The opposite of the existing population. What other nation tries to commit suicide this way? I have nothing against other races but since white are at most 10% of the worlds population.....is it not permissible for us to have our own white (dominant) nations?
In today's world the answer is no.
Whenever you see "anti-racism" it really means anti-white. Jebbie here is positioning himself as the anti-racist who can bring in the Hispanic vote
Woh-oh-oh!
All we need is love. All we need is love, love, but not Jebbie’s kinda love. They’re all twisted sickos. Sorry I ever voted for him and wasted any of my time campaigning for him. NEVER AGAIN. Jeb’s frightening. GWB was just as bad only he’s more sneaky about his agenda.
“If Marco Rubio boards Jeb Bushs LOVE TRAIN. Hes through in my book.”
According to Open Borders weasel and GOPe mouthpiece Hugh Hewitt, Jeb and Marco are doing a bit of triangulation here.
Their idea is that they can dupe us slow witted sorts who vote in the primaries.
Jeb plays bad cop by taking the most extreme amnesty position possible. This makes Marco Rubio’s own past amnesty posturing look “reasonable”, at least to Hewitt’s weasel mind; of course since Hewitt is a charter member of the open border treason lobby it doesn’t take much to impress him, but there you have it.
The question is whether they have been slick enough to fool us slack jawed hicks.
“Yep, Brown, Yellow or Black need not apply.”
“Uh oh. Do you mean to say you want that illegal brown skinned kid to stay in the USA ?”
Funny how your posts gravitate to charging other Freepers with racism.
