The Obama administration hasn’t learned anything from the massacres at Fort Hood in 2009 or the Washington Navy Yard last year.
For all my research on how to stop or prevent mass public shootings and all the victims at these attacks that I have talked to over the years, the attack this week at Fort Hood was different.
My son Ryan, who is stationed at Fort Hood and recently back from a tour in Afghanistan, was just two blocks from the attack and could hear the shots.
However, as was true in the 2009 attack at Fort Hood by Major Nidal Malik Hasan, soldiers, like my son, are banned from having weapons on base unless they have “a credible and specific threat against [military] personnel [exists] in that region.”
Yes, there are military police and they guard the entrances, but, like police generally, they can’t be everywhere all the time.
Thus during the Navy Yard or Fort Hood shootings, the unarmed JAG officers, marines, and soldiers could do nothing but cower as the shooter fired round after round. . . .

We can thank Clinton for making it a gun free zone, condemn Bush for not repealing it and not codifying that repeal into law. The CO of the base admitted there was a 15 minute response time.
When seconds count, the police are minutes away.
The EXEMPT US Government ONLY protects terrorists,
lets terrorists in without passports (e.g.Boston)
and keeps open borders for terrorists, and
arms them from Libya to Syria to Egypt to Mexico.
If caught, Holder and the DO”J” protect them making sure
they are not executed for their murders.

You’re not going to see a lot of vets in favor of concealed carry on base post on this thread because they actually agree with the weapons restrictions.
Just another case of the government not keeping up with the times. A bunch of old geezers who think we are still living in a world where you don’t have to worry about being gunned down by a fellow soldier on a US military base. Or by a fellow student at your high school. Hey, wake up zombies, it’s a brave new world, and we all need to be armed at all times.
No matter who blundered into it or kept it up... it’s time to GO. They don’t even GUARD these places? City police on call are their protection? Folks, acts of war aren’t always considerately declared by our foes.
