In a seriously hilarious skit on The Tonight Show Wednesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin (Jimmy Fallon) called up former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to talk about her impressive 2008 prediction that he would invade Ukraine.
We dont want to give too much away, but Palin also busts a flute solo and President Barack Obama gets caught trying to listen in on their phone call.
Then theres this side-splitting one-liner from Putin: I come from strong genes. President Obama, he comes from mom jeans.
Trust us, you want to watch it all the way through.
Watch below:
I was totally surprised by it
This is seriously worth watching....hysterical...and very positive toward Sarah Palin...and very critical of Obama
I was totally surprised by it
Very good skit.
I was surprized, and may start watching the show.
There is the habit of never watching networks, which will need to be broken, but seriously it was a good skit.
Keep up the good work Tonight Show.
I expected bland or negative but got insightful and poignant and funny. It was good stuff from beginning to end.
sometime next week Willard will claim he predicted this...
It was funny. I heard about it yesterday here on FR, so I tuned in.
It was not only the first time I ever saw Fallon’s show, it was the first time in several years I’d watched anything on NBC/ABC/CBS/FOX (other than some local news and weather) in several years. Honestly.
I was very surprised, (PLEASANTLY!) too.
I already pinged her list to another similar thread.
If this keeps up, I might have to view Jimmy Fallon differently.
bfl!
That is a lovely lady.
When you’ve lost late nite talk ....
Seriously this is bad for the zero. He’s lost the “cool” appeal. He’s becoming fair game for even his late night cohorts.
Not that conservatives or conservatism will ever be cool, but now the left is in scramble mode looking for the next one to distract the sheeple. I suspect the Secretary of Cankles is set up pretty good now for 2016.
That woman just keeps getting better looking!
Fallon needs some work but Sarah is hot!
Why can’t conservatism be cool?
Just asking?
What is it about believing in America which is out of favor, and what is it about not rooting for our side, which is ‘cool’.
I think this is 100% the right side. We just need to also be for American jobs, then we’re set.
100% set.
I haven’t watched the show in years though I did watch this clip via a news article on the subject. I also watched clips of Fallon with Billy Joel a few weeks ago. He is very talented and entertaining.
I think Jimmy realized he was now seen as a complete ‘White House Approved Tool of Propaganda, and is starting to walk that kissing up stuff back. He hopes it’s not too late. I’ll bet he still slavishly ‘warned Obama’ that there would be some Palin happening and his name would be uttered. Nice skit, Sarah didn’t overplay it or act over the top silly.
Amusing.
Didn’t know Sarah could play the flute.
Todd’s a lucky guy.
The best part was that twice, he mentioned that Palin had predicted in 2008 an invasion of Ukraine. The LIVs probably don’t know anything about that, and by making that a key point of the skit, it helps to offset the media driven caricature of her.
Plus, the NSA reference, linked directly to Obama, can’t hurt with younger voters, as well as those of us who recognize the danger of this kind of governmental intrusion.
Its funny because its relevant, and there is truth in it.
When it comes to actors and musicians, I don’t frankly care what they believe until they force it on me. Just do what you do, entertain. Nobody is above ridicule. In a free society, even dear leader is fair game. There have been so many missed comedic opportunities because Hollywood and the media have both refused to point out the obvious shortcomings of this administration. And that’s just sad.
