OK, that’s understandable ... BUT, the disconnect between what Matt Kibbi wrote not so long ago, and what he just did, is really bugging me ... Something is not jiving in all this ... And it goes with my gut suspicions that the real GOPe candidate is Sasse. Have you seen the tour bus Sasse is campaigning in? Osborne does not travel in such luxury, as far as I know. Sasse just seems too smooth and too well connected ... And since Concerned Women for America endorsed Osborne, I really have to wonder, because CWA are not a bunch of naive political lightweights.
He makes me a little worried, but I think chances he stays good are higher than the now disgraced Ron Johnson.

Also, let’s get to the heart of the matter - Freedomworks claims itself to be both “libertarian and conservative” - but that’s rather a schizophrenic position, in my book, since libertarians are in alignment with liberals on all the social issues ... i.e.: moral relativism.
Ron Johnson is a current senatore from Wisconsin. He ran a plastic factory, and took out Puss Feingold in 2010. Tea Party was excited about him, seemed like a really solid outsider like Sasse, then he crashed and burned in the establishment no-man’s land.
I think Sasse’s prospects are better.
When Sasse paid a courtesy call on Mitch McConnell, McConnell chewed him out for his youtube ad. Osborn has cozied up to McConnell and his cronies.
As much as you can trust any politician, I trust Sasse more than I do Osborn.
What’s more, if elected, Osborn will vote for McConnell to be leader (if he’s still there). Sasse will not.
Therefore, Sasse is the better choice.
Sounds like he’s too fat and Sasse to trust.
Can you produce corroborated evidence that Shane Osborne is in cahoots with McConnell? I really need to make certain that this is legit and not some political hit job by Sasse - or those who support him. What exactly did Osborne do that makes him buddies with McConnell? Where is the evidence? All I have read, so far, is accusations, but nobody has produced a shred of factual and “IN CONTEXT” evidence to substantiate the charge. That is what I need to see, so to make an informed decision.

Ben has actually read the 2300 page law. He’s made scores of cross-country trips and hundreds of speeches proposing free-market alternatives and crusading against the law, both during its debate and after passage.
He opposes ObamaCare not just because:
it was passed by a dishonest legislative gimmick
it is based on a premise that Government can successfully plan 18% of our economy
it puts bureaucrats between patients and doctors
it infringes on religious liberty and forces people of conscience to pay for abortion
its information technology systems won’t work, and will likely lead to massive data leaks of Americans’ confidential financial and health data
...though all those things are true.
He’s also against it for a much more basic reason: Ben opposes ObamaCare because he rejects the worldview underlying it. It’s a worldview that says:
“If there’s a problem, only the Federal Government can solve it.”
“Fake budget projections are fine, it’s OK to hide the truth from the American people because “DC knows what America needs and the ends justify the means”
“The Executive branch has the authority to just fill in parts of the law that are unfinished, grant special waivers to politically connected friends, and change parts of the law that are politically inconvenient.”
“The American people need Government to care for them and permanent dependency isn’t just an acceptable outcome, it’s a goal of this Administration.”
This does not work. Republicans must be ready with conservative solutions to the crisis Obamacare has caused. Otherwise we will be forced into a single-payer system.
Real health care reform can only be achieved through patient-centered health policy solutions, not more bureaucracy. The health care sector was a mess before Obamacare—not because we didn’t have enough government, but because we already had too much.
Republicans need to start offering conservative solutions for the future. Here is Ben’s plan to fully repeal ObamaCare and start over with a conservative solution that empowers families and patients.

OK, thanks for posting the Sasse campaign position page ... but that is not what I requested. I asked for evidence - hard evidence - that Shane Osborne is in cahoots with Sen. Mitch McConnell. I already know Sasse’s talking points on Obamacare ...
Now explain to me how it is that Matt Kibbi’s organization, Freedomworks, had published the exact opposite viewpoint of Sasse’s positions on Obamacare mere months ago ... And bare in mind that Freedomworks was just as certain in its condemnation of Sasse then, as it is in supporting him now.
Like I said - this stinks. Which opinion of Freedomworks should I give credibility to? The one written first, that claimed to be absolutely certain of Ben Sasse being the establishment insider, or the new version that claims Osborne is the establishment’s lackie?
