A conservative-leaning nonprofit, the American Civil Rights Union (ACRU), recently filed a federal lawsuit over allegations that Zavala County is failing to make a reasonable effort to conduct voter list maintenance programs. The ACRU claims the countywhich supported the re-election of President Obama by 83%--allegedly holds a 105 percent voter registration rate.
Lead litigator for the case, former DOJ attorney J. Christian Adams, argues to Breitbart Texas that despite Zavala Countys smaller populationvoter roll maintenance failures can distort voter turnout and total tabulations in local races.

The filed federal complaint claims, Voter rolls maintained by the Defendant for Zavala County contain more voters registered to vote than citizens eligible to vote.

Maybe we can get Jimmah Carter to monitor US elections? (Or Putin?)
Nut-job Conspiracy Theory Ping!
To get onto The Nut-job Conspiracy Theory Ping List you must threaten to report me to the Mods if I don't add you to the list...
God bless and keep J Christian Adams and the American Civil Rights Union (ACRU)....they’re doing the Lord’s work.
This is why Texas is in danger of going the way of the ‘Rats. If they can do it in a border town, they can do it in plenty of other places.
Lefty commenters on various voter ID news stories:
‘There is no evidence of voter fraud *click* there is no evidence of voter fraud *click*....’
Many people will not register to vote because they also don’t want to be called for jury duty, which is taken from registered voters.
My folks were died in wool democrats, but Never voted for this reason.
love the graphic...Why aren’t Philadelphia and Pittsburgh being sued as well? (yeah, I know rhetorical strictly)
They have deeper pockets. Better to fight a legal battle with a less well-heeled backwater county and win - setting the legal precedent - first and then build on that victory.
Last stop?
Chicago, if we have the resolve.
jury pools are now drawn from Driver License records.
Another reason to have one Election Day, not 2 weeks. If you don’t know when to vote, or too busy to take time to vote, you shouldn’t vote.
Absolutely right. Also, the polls should be open for at least 16 hours, opening simultaneously and closing simultaneously everywhere in the U.S.A. This would diminish, if not eliminate, the discouragement of voting in the West by the practice of calling an election based on results from the East.
I like the plan
Had Enough Yet ?
Maybe few people seem to care, possibly because Texas statewide races (including those for presidential electors) have gone Republican by fairly comfortable margins in recent years, but these same "voter roll maintenance failures" can distort voter turnout and tabulations in statewide races as well. It could even be the dispositive factor in close statewide races, and thus have immense political, economic, and social consequences.
The same applies to "voter roll maintenance failures" in any county in any state of the Union!
As long as there are no vicious, swimming rabbits...
Take off the dead people and see what you get.
Let me guess...dead democrats!
Walking Dead voters.
