Only "mere scraps of data documented" Barack Obama's mother's "days in Seattle," writes Obama biographer David Maraniss in his 2012 Barack Obama: The Story. Incidentally, Maraniss was telling the truth: Ann's "days in Seattle" weren't mentioned in Dreams from my Father and were only vaguely implied in Maraniss's lengthy 2008 article. And it appears that the only "scraps" of evidence of Obama's mother's time in Seattle during 1961-1962 was a listing in a Seattle Polk directory and a University of Washington (UW) transcript. And it appears that the only "mere scraps" of evidence of baby Barack's time in Seattle are a few recollections from some of Ann's high school classmates and a lone babysitter.

He’s a communist enemy of the United States of America. He is totally gutting our defenses and leaving us defenseless in the face of emboldened enemies. The days of worrying about where he was born, where he lived as an infant or if he is a citizen are long behind us and we better stop focusing on such trivialities.
The immediate need is to win the Senate to check him.
But more importantly, the longer-range goal must be to develop an educated citizenry who cherishes freedom and liberty, rejects tyranny, and would never again even conceive of electing another charlatan communist dictator. That is the Herculean task this nation faces.

I’m starting to believe old man stanley is the dad and maybe barry was born in Seattle and Stanley ann went there to pick him up. She raised him until his dad (stanley) could handle him- age 10. DNA would help, he supposedly has a sister.
Another of the conjectures is the claim that Stanley Ann Dunham was supposedly seen to be very not pregnant on the beach in July 1961, yet gave birth in Kenya, Hawaii, or Shangri-La less than a month or weeks later.
