Gwyneth Paltrow says it's hard being a mom who works long hours on a movie set. Working moms with 9-to-5 type jobs, she insinuated, have it easier.

Note to all Hollywood stars; male, female, or otherwise. Don’t ever try to comment on regular, normal people’s lives, or compare yours to theirs. The Hollywood star’s lifestyle is so completely divorced from the real world that you cannot even recognize that this is so.
Don’t forget that poor Mommy Gwynny also makes a sh*tload of money and pays someone to nanny, shop, clean and cook while those lucky 9-5 Moms have to deal with their job and all the housework and raising the kids with just the help of their husband, if they haven’t disconnected that is. Dear God please help these poor elitists, help them to understand reality!
I hear ya. I agree.
Poor Gwyneth. I hope she can find peace. I know it will be hard, but my heart just goes out to her, since I feel so sorry about her situation...

I'm a full-time mother, and I think nurses have a tough job.
With that said, when my children were little, I worked part-time evenings and weekends at an office. Before having children, I thought office politics were tough. I found out the office job was nothing compared to caring for babies and toddlers. ;-)
Just another “out of touch” Hollywood liberal leftist.
Wonder what she thinks of Obama’s six month stint scooping Ice Cream at Baskin Robbins? Oh the Humanity.
Ain't that the truth. But some floors in the hospital also had politics. I stayed out of the politics. One of my teachers said...if you go into nursing to have friends, quit now Loved nursing, but hubby and I purchased a farm and I retired after 10 years to become a goat herder. Loved both jobs so it wasn't really work when you love what you are doing...After hubby passed away, I had to sell the farm and our flock of goats...donated them to the church and father and I together found a home for over 60 of them. We donated the goats to the priest of a mission in Appalachian mountains, he sold the flock to one guy that could only afford 1000 dollars, but he said a little chapel up in the mountains was in need of a bell, guess what, the bell cost 1000 dollars....God works in strange ways. This the the short version of the story....
And people in England have more intelligent conversations...
I’m of a generation that remembers the Studio system in Hollywood that refused its stars to speak to the press unless under the most extraordinary circumstances. When show business became the entertainment industry, it unleashed hundreds of foolish ex-pizza waitresses and ex-gas station attendants on the public and allowed them to pontificate on subjects of which they know nothing about.
There is a blog out there that has about 47 of the stupidest quotes of Gwyneth Paltrow. It would be hilarious if it wasn’t so bizarre. Her mother, Blythe Danner, must be so proud.
How is your granddaughter doing? Prayers for her good health.
Gwynn, dear, is getting OLD. Very, very OLD. Can we have a new actress, please, and get rid of this tired, stale, boring old one?
Doing better now. There are still tests to be run.
I’ll be glad to trade jobs with her. She can work my 9-5 and get my salary, put up with bosses and clients and tedium and only two weeks’ vacation a year, and having to ask permission to take a day off for a doctor’s appointment. I’ll take her job of working on a movie set (much of the time is spent sitting around waiting for the set to be lit, or getting your makeup and hair done, etc.,) and then all the time off she gets in between the movies, plus all the money she makes, the applause she gets, and the other perks.
Deal, Gwynnie?
You know, we’ve all seen how people in the public eye get what they say twisted completely out of context. From what I saw, in looking this up, she was being interviewed about her plans after her recent split, said she had decided to take a break from acting and spend more time focusing on her kids, and then went on to explaining why it was difficult being an actress and a mom at the same time.
So rather than being the subject of scorn, I would view this as something to be admired.
And besides, I always thought she was really cute - so don’t post anything that might lessen the crush I have on her, okay?
My favorite actor quote:
You shouldn’t speak until you know what you’re talking about. That’s why I get uncomfortable with interviews. Reporters ask me what I feel China should do about Tibet. Who cares what I think China should do? They hand me a script. I’m a grown man who puts on makeup.
—Brad Pitt
Indeed, God does work in strange ways sometimes. :-)
He is doing flips and handsprings and smiling broadly and giving candy to his kids. “Yippee & Yahoo!!” will be the name of his new single.
Maybe Gweneth will get back together with Brad Pitt... : )
I can see the stories now. Will he stay with Angelina or leave her for Gweneth or Jennifer Aniston or maybe be with all 3... Stay tuned.
“...so dont post anything that might lessen the crush I have on her, okay?”
:^D
Well, I hate to be the party pooper, zencycler, but regardless, Ms. Paltrow stated that she has it rough - especially compared to 9 to 5er’s. Ms. Paltrow doesn’t live in the real world, so to speak. She lives in an insulated bubble. A bubble lined with nannies, armed body guards, multimillionaires, luxury hotels, luxury homes, the best seat at any high dollar restaurant without waiting in line, luxury vacations at remote resorts, extra cash to throw round, fashion designers desiring you to wear their clothes, and on it goes.
The average Joe is scrambling to raise a family while making ends meet. Ms. Paltrow should show some sense and refrain from such comments. It makes her appear elitist and ignorant.
I recall reading that interview a few years ago. It’s a shame Mr. Pitt doesn’t practice what he preaches. In recent time, I’ve listened to him state - while on the Bill Maher show - that he could do a better job running Louisiana than Bobby Jindal. He seemed to be half joking, but nonetheless Mr. Pitt went on to state that Bill Maher’s show is an important program. During that interview, Brad Pitt said that we should do away with ALL religion. At that point I stopped watching.
I never watch Maher’s show, but on that occasion i had noted a headline that caught my attention concerning Brad Pitt’s comments. I had no idea it was the BMShow.
I found it to be ironic that Mr. Pitt wishes to silence the voices of people of faith while freely expressing his views on television. He’s a hypocrite.
