Kentucky is known for its basketball, with the last two national champions residing in the Bluegrass State. Seeing as its March Madness and Kentucky and Louisville are set to play in an epic Sweet 16 matchup on Friday night, it seemed like the ideal time to run a campaign ad incorporating Kentuckys strength on the hardwood as part of the states great success. However, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell made one, tiny mistake during the 100-second commercial. It didnt feature Kentucky. It showed Duke celebrating its 2010 National Title.
Hold on, it gets worse. McConnells staff swapped the incorrect championship photo with an image of Kentucky freshman Julius Randle. Thats a problem because images of current players cannot be used, per the NCAA.

I guess Mitchie-poo hired some of Romney’s old campaign staff.
Perhaps instead of Randle they could use a picture of Christian Laettner?
LOL! Duke is hated by UK fans. Mitch, you’re a globalist b*tch. Shove off!
Somebody was lazy. Some beltway log cabin “Republican” who can’t find Kentucky on a map probably put it together.
You can’t spell Duke without UK
Of all the teams to get Kentucky crossed with, Duke? After the 1992 regional finals game?
Worse still: Kentucky lost the game that Duke fans insist was the greatest game ever played.
Can't spell "Suck" without it, neither.
If you had to pick one person to piss off Wildcat fans it would be Christian Laettner. This is funny but it also shows how out of touch McConnell is with the American people and his constituents
An ad as ineffectual as his leadership....
I know that Kentucky takes their Basketball seriously, but, does anyone really think this will have any affect on McConnell’s support?
Someone on here yesterday said: “Picky, picky, picky. It was an Honest Mistake.” To which I replied: Had Matt Bevin done this, I guarantee you that Mitch McConnell would have ridden this thing right up to Election Day.
It all depends on Bevin. If I were him I would play it into the narrative that McConnell is out of touch with the people of Kentucky. Wildcat basketball is a religion in Kentucky. There is no team in Kentucky more hated than Duke. Sure it sends like a small mistake but it’s part of the bigger problem which is McConnell is out if touch and it’s time for him to go. And I’d bet a million dollars that a Kentucky ad firm didn’t put this together because they’d never make that mistake. I would also make that point, he’s so entrenched in DC that he didn’t hire a local firm for his campaign video
Bingo0!
McConnell is no longer a Kentuckian. He is of Washington, by Washington...and FOR Washington.
I’m thinking you need to share what you just shared in your Post #14 to me, with the Bevin Campaign. You can go to his website and get the phone number of his campaign HQ. I called, a short time back with a suggestion, in regards to another matter. The first lady I spoke with was very nice and assured me she would pass the info on. That night, a young lady who has been a life-long friend of Matt Bevin, and is now working on his campaign, called me and talked with me for about 20 minutes.
