House Democrats are poised to offer their third discharge petition of 2014 Wednesday, this one to force a floor vote on an immigration overhaul bill.
Theyll need to get 218 signatures on the petition in order to compel GOP leadership to bring up their legislation, which mirrors the Senate-passed immigration bill, except for some tweaks in the border security language.
The likelihood of that outcome is approximately zero: Even the few House Republicans who have broken with their leaders to sign on as co-sponsors to the House bill are not expected to embrace a procedural tactic that would embarrass the majority party.

I can see November 2014 from my hot tub;)
The reason, they’re all up for re-election. If they vote to bring this to a vote, their jobs will evaporate faster than their brains did.
Democrats are experts at fooling and exploiting low information voters. They know the MSM will publicize anything they do without criticism.
I want them in an even smaller minority come November!
That the HOR has a majority that actually wants to vote to enable the invasion of the US is an astounding lack of giving a damn about US citizens. And, yeah, a majority want to vote that way but they also want to get re-elected.
The Dems aren’t panicking. They are trying to energize their own base and divide the Reps. They want to make immigration the issue, not Obamacare.
The Demagogic Party needs 218 signatures to force a vote.

Thanks mdittmar.
Their final drive over the cliff before opening the Golden Parachutes.

In fact, they’re trying to make ANYTHING besides Obamacare the issue, and it isn’t going to work in the great middle, which is where the election gets swung. The Pubbies will take both houses in 2014 and 2016, and the presidency in 2016, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see an historic repudiation of the Demwits.
A long ways,about 168 years.

That is assuming that most legal/citizen Hispanics think that awarding illegal aliens is a top priority.
That's silly,Illegal Immigrants can't vote.
Not legally. But plenty of immigrants can vote legally. We have 45 million foreign born in this country and that's counting their US born children. Immigrants vote two or three to one for the Dems. And minorities vote an even higher percentage for the Dems.
87% of the 1.2 million legal immigrants who enter annually are minorities as defined by the USG. Pew: White majority over, next generation more than 50% non-white Demography is destiny,
and that’s NOT counting their US born children
More proof that the communist “democRATS” are scared to death about 2014. They need a whole crapload of ignorant, freeloading, low information voters and they need them now. “Immigration reform” is just the thing they need. I don’t know why every American in this country isn’t blowing a gasket right now.
When are they gonna drop this immigration s**t already? Let’s move on, OK. I’ll gladly agree to open borders if you’ll agree to no benefits. Open borders, no benefits. How do say that in Spanish?
I think that's a reasonable assumption based on Hispanics I know (I live in Cali.) But you apparently assume that only legal citizen Hispanics vote. Wrong! Why do you think the Rats are so opposed to voter ID? They have sophisticated methods of getting illegals to the polls.
I live in Southern California and the majority of legal Mexican immigrants, by an overwhelming margin, disapprove of illegal aliens first and foremost because the legal immigrants got their citizenship the hard way and do not approve of the illegals coming in and lowering the “bar”, as in taking all of the low paying jobs at a severe discount thus eliminating the available jobs for low skill legal immigrants.
Just my observation in San Diego, but depending upon where you live most likely matters most on the outcome of such a “poll”.
And what happens to American jobs? We have 21 million people unemployed or underemployed. No borders means no country.
