The whole world seems to be in a mood to go Crimean and vote away governments that don't serve them. How far can we be from some northern tier states voting for independence and then figuring out their options?

That the HOR has a majority that actually wants to vote to enable the invasion of the US is an astounding lack of giving a damn about US citizens. And, yeah, a majority want to vote that way but they also want to get re-elected.
