The National Guard reservist charged on Monday with attempting to blow up the Los Angeles subway allegedly possessed terrorist manuals on how to be a “lone wolf” terrorist and was a frequent reader of al Qaeda’s Inspire magazine, which provides tips on how to make and detonate various bombs, according to FBI court documents.
The FBI charged Nicholas Teausant, a 20-year-old National Guard reservist, with attempting to help al Qaeda carry out a plot to attack the subway system in Los Angeles.
Teausant was a frequent Internet contributor to forums for would-be terrorists and is said to have owned a copy of the One Mujahid Pocketbook, which instructs readers on how to be a “lone wolf” terrorist and construct bombs.
The guide includes passages on “torching parked vehicles,” “bomb making,” “remote control detonation,” and “tips for our brothers in the united snakes of America,” according to the criminal complaint filed against Teausant.
He allegedly obtained the guidebook by downloading it from a “library computer,” according to the complaint.
Teausant also claimed to be a frequent reader of al Qaeda’s Inspire magazine, the most recent issue of which includes an article on how to make car bombs that can be detonated in U.S. cities.

All I had/have was Abbie Hoffman’s ‘Steal This Book.’
All I had were the “Techniques of Harassment” volumes 1-5.
I have a copy of the "U.S. Army Improvised Munitions Handbook".
Every household should have one. It's cheaper and better. Or at least better than the later editions of Anarchist Cookbook that have the interesting stuff removed. ($7.32 from Amazon.com, free as a pdf download from the US gov't.)

Like eating a huge meal for the price of pie and coffee...
One guy walks into a busy diner...His friend enters 1 minute later and both sit down next to each other, acting like strangers....
One orders pie and coffee and the other a T-bone with meat and 4 side orders of everything....He wolfs it....They one who chows down picks up the pie and coffee check, pays and bails....The guy who had the pie and coffee picks up the full course meal check and tells them he has the wrong check, and the waitress vogues for him and he’s out....
Go to another restaurant and repeat, except the other guy gets the full course....
That this creepy terrorist is, or was, a National Guardsman (Guardsperson?) has been stated repeatedly. In this one long article that has everything about him and his past, there is one thing missing. I am interested (and surely would any other person with an “inquiring mind”) in whether he attends mosque and prays to that little black meteorite rock deal in Mecca six times a day.
Surely, just surely, that might be something this reporter might let us know.

I think the little weird Muslim cap answers that question, but it is odd that they wouldn’t mention a thing about it. Well, not really “odd,” as things go now. Maybe I should have said “not surprising.”
Instead, they try to make it sound like he was trying to blow up the subway because he was a National Guardsman.
Good grief. He looks like quite the social misfit.
