Corsi: Obama Gun Grab Shifts into High Gear
Tea Party ^ | March 16, 2014 | Dr. Jerome Corsi

Posted on 03/16/2014 8:10:24 PM PDT by progunner

The Obama anti-gun crowd has decided to pursue the last option left to a tyrant: When all else fails, would-be dictators devise legislation aimed at confiscating our guns.
We should expect the political left to become desperate as President Obama’s approval ratings drop below 40 percent and the full impact sinks in that Republican David Jolly’s win in the Florida congressional special election last week signals voters are in a mood to punish Democrats for the unfolding Obamacare debacle.
But Tea Party Loyalists and Second Amendment Patriots have reason to take heart that we can beat back the gun-control activists by keeping on the agenda the imperial Obama presidency that prefers rule by executive order to the Constitutional limits on the presidency imposed by the Separation of Powers doctrine.
In Connecticut, tens of thousands of residents have decided to defy new state gun-control laws by refusing to register their firearms in defiance.
We’ve heard enough of the radical-liberal unsubstantiated argument that “gun-free” zones will protect students from school shootings like the tragedy that occurred at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, in December 2012.
We know the truth: Namely, that gun-free school zones only turn innocent students into victims with no ability to defend themselves, when the solutions involve placing armed guards in the school while licensing responsible teachers and school supervisors to carry their weapons openly when on duty at the school.
The truth is the school shootings are typically fostered by a radical-liberal agenda that encourages psychiatrists to drug students, not because they have real psychological problems, but because drugged up students are easier for unqualified and substandard public school teachers to control. What’s obvious is that as the 2014 elections draw closer and it becomes obvious Barack Obama’s incredible shrinking presidency has saddled Congressional Democrats facing voters in the 2014 November elections with Obamacare, President Obama’s signature legacy of government overreach and bureaucratic failure. The New Jersey Assembly Law and Public Safety Committee has advanced by a 5-to-3 partisan vote to the state legislature a gun control measure that would limit the size of ammunition magazines.
Not surprisingly, parents of Newtown victims traveled to New Jersey twice, claiming many students escaped death because the shooter had to reload his magazine.
Tea Party Loyalists and Second Amendment Patriots are rallying once again to oppose and resist this new attempt at gun control in New Jersey.
But, the anti-gun lobby never stops.
Secretary of State John Kerry continues to push the United Nations measure that would resort to international law trumping U.S. state law in an effort to confiscate guns from U.S. citizens in obvious disregard of the Second Amendment.
When martial law descended upon Boston in the wake of the bombing at the end of the Boston Marathon we saw televised the type of law enforcement military-like shut down of a neighborhood and the resultant house-to-house search of homes in the locked-down area that could easily lead to law enforcement seizure of guns, as men dressed in black gear paraded with automatic weapons through the streets of Watertown.
The ideological intensity of the anti-gun political left defies facts and logic.
The Gun Owners of America document that firearms are used 2.5 million times a year in the United States in self-defense, approximately 6,850 times a day.
Yet the Obama administration is desperate in its panicked need to change the public agenda from the damage Obamacare continues to inflict on health care in America in their ill advised attempt to expand the growth of big government to control one-sixth of the U.S. economy.
Thus, gun grabbing has become a top priority for President Obama and his radically liberal Democratic Party minions in state legislatures around the nation.
We should expect President Obama and the Democrats in Congress about to be defeated in November to push as hard as they can to put into law every gun-control measure possible, before Tea Party Loyalists and Second Amendment Patriots turn the tide against them.

[SNIP]

I've cut out a few areas where the Tea Party asks for contributions towards mass e-mailings to congressional members to oppose Obamas gun grabbing efforts. You can see them if you click onto the link or if asked for I will make a separate post for the URLs.

[END OF SNIP]

We’ve seen the threat to the Second Amendment. Now Congress needs to see how Tea Party loyalists feel in return.
Our gun rights are in jeopardy, but we have not yet begun to demand Congress must stand up to defend the Second Amendment by passing laws to roll back Obama’s executive orders limiting our right to own firearms.
Washington needs to know that Tea Party Loyalists intend to win – either now by impeaching Barack Obama for his back-door attack on the Second Amendment, and/or by throwing at the ballot box in November 2014, and again in November 2016 any and all incumbent members of Congress – Republicans and Democrats alike – who do not stand with us in the defense of our gun rights.

"This isn’t America. I don’t expect some people to get it. But, this isn’t America. It is America in name only (AINA)."

Then by all means, don't let the door hit you on the way out. Go away. If you have nothing to offer but more boring "gloom despair and agony on me" defeatism and hand wringing, then by all means, find another country. I am getting sick and freaking tired of hearing my so-called countrymen, those that I defended for 11 years in the US Army, waving the surrender flag. It sickens me, in fact. If you have nothing to offer but more of the same ol' "America is finished" defeatism, then by all means, feel free to not say it...we have enough of that mindset already on this forum.

What we need are solutions. What we need are words of encouragement for you wavering so-called conservatives. If you have no stomach for a fight, if you have no dedication to the principles upon which our Republic was founded, if you have so little pride in yourself that you're willing to sit idly by while the tyrants control you like a puppet, then this quote is for you:

"If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."

Does that make you mad? Does it upset you? Good...quit whining and start offering solutions.

Welcome to FReep.

“Oh listen to you! Wow! Aren’t you the smart guy! Not get it? If we do not agree with you we do not get it? Yeah, we FReepers you are writing those words to here are all to slow to ‘get’ your point is that it? Listen up noobie, trying to talk down to other FReepers isn’t looked at very well here, especially when it is coming from some n00b stating,”

Hmmm. Let me be first to apologize. 1) for implying the obvious - that people will disagree, and that I used incorrect language and may have come across as the “smart guy”; 2) for making you think that your are slow; 3) that I am a n00b; 4) for the misunderstanding.

Sorry.

Dude, where’s my country?

Do you really think you can reform the fed beast? The metamorphisis has been completed.

“..start offering solutions.” As someone else stated regarding the metamorphisis, “I’d pickup a newspaper, roll it up and smash the $hit out of that butterfly and throw it in the trashcan, then go find me another caterpillar...: )”

I agree with this, therefore I agree with you.

But I believe that we aren’t giving our states their proper role in all of this. I stated this before as part of the solution, but which seems to be glossed over all the time. So let me state in the form of a question, “What role, if any, can a state government have in any part or in whole?” I want to explore this, because each individual state WILL have some involvement and yet so far no one has posited how this may work out.

Your posts 99 and 101 are right on the mark, brother Dawg. I’ve been telling the hand wringing surrender monkeys on FR to take their defeatist drivel elsewhere for ages now.

Theirs is an infectious, insidious evil that will break the spirit of this whole community if others don’t stand up and tell them to stuff it.

Thank you!

Howdy Windflier,

Question, do you think the federal government can be reformed? If so, what would it take to reform it and roll it back, and to what would you roll it back to?

Thanks,

"Do you really think you can reform the fed beast?"

Not me, us. We can and we will, and you can get with the program, or continue to throw up your hands in surrender. Make up your mind if you want to be part of the solution or just another hand wringer. Pick a side.

VERY Well said Windy! Really getting to be something isn’t it? These surrender monkeys are gonna be the first ones to register their firearms. They will be the first ones to fall to their knees, (and piss themselves), when ordered there by FEMA goons when the round up starts.

You bet, brother dawg. It dawned on me over the weekend that the surrender monkeys are the spiritual and intellectual equivalent of war refugees. They clog the roads, running away from the fighting, and at the same time impede the flow of troops and materiel headed toward the fighting. They do nothing but get in the way. I'm sick of it, and won't put up with it anymore.

Anyone who thinks the government is going to "take their guns away", needs to go ahead and sell or give them to someone who isn't afraid to be an American.

Dawg soldiers up!

You made a appropriate comparison I believe. We have our work cut out for us. These surrender monkeys are rearing their ugly heads more each day showing their cowardice and their attempts to condition others to their cowardly thoughts and ways just keeps getting worse, we have to stay our/the course.

Whiffle ball anyone? George C. Detweiler wrote the article, not Mike New. Detweiler was Attorney General of Idaho. Not some Nevada rancher who got a raw deal from the fed.

Don’t misunderstand what I’m saying. I’m sure Hage was a fine man, and I totally agree that what happened to him should never have happened here. We have to fight to make sure that sort of thing stops. And all constructive solutions are welcome.

But holding Hage up as a paragon of constitutional interpretive skill? Not the most convincing move you could make.

Which of course give insight to why you’d buy into the sickest conspiracy theory I’ve ever seen on this forum, that the leading Founders of this country deliberately sabotaged the Constitution by planting a poison pill in the Supremacy Clause.

So I reiterate, read the Detweiler article, and get an alternative point of view on the clarity and purposeful structure of that clause:

This isn’t America. I don’t expect some people to get it.

If there is a beast on this thread it's you,,,, the "pessimist beast". You've already proved to us involved in this thread that your the one that doesn't get it. And by the way,,,, you DO NOT speak for me in regards to "our children". Our, meaning my wife's and mine. Our daughters who are both home schooled, are quite capable of handling anything or anybody that gets in their way. They've got goals and they will occur right here in a free America.

Also, anytime a country goes through a revolution, or civil war, the result is that it becomes a new country - for better or worse. The name may or may not change, but it will be different, usually radically different.

You've thrown in the towel and in the same verse you anticipate a civil war. What country are you writing about first off? I suggest you remain on the subject of this thread which regards America and our own unique problems. We took care of business once before and we will again. You see,,,, most of us have faith in America and in the up-coming ballot box so hopefully the cartridge box won't be necessary. I believe the "Tea Party" has made great strides in orchestrating the results of the mid-terms which will merely change personal rather America. It was and always will be America and Obama is about to see change the he WON'T believe.

America was an entity created on paper - the constitution. That entity is no longer valid.

Your off the wall again. America was made by "we the people" who then devised the Constitution to replace displacements such as Obama who said that "You didn't make that". Having said that I must inquire under what set of laws do YOU live by?

I just want to make sure we understand it as fully as we can.

We the people understand,,,, what's your problem? May we be of assistance in any way, we sure hate to see folks in the dark.

Anyway the rest of your response was as about as clear as the Mississippi river after a severe rainstorm and I won't waste anymore time on it. Besides, my daughters just reloaded what looks like a couple thousand rounds of 45's and they are demanding that I take them to the local gin mill and buy them a couple of beers and a couple games of pool.

In conclusion may I suggest that, since you've already thrown in your towel, that you keep out of OUR (meaning the rest of us one this thread) way and concentrate on getting really real. Nuff said.

Not some Nevada rancher who got a raw deal from the fed.

You fanned on that one, because you clearly don't even know that Hage wrote Storm Over Rangelands, which is a tour deforce in historical research on the split estate in Federal landownership going back to Roman law.

But holding Hage up as a paragon of constitutional interpretive skill? Not the most convincing move you could make.

Only for the ignorant.

Which of course give insight to why you’d buy into the sickest conspiracy theory I’ve ever seen on this forum, that the leading Founders of this country deliberately sabotaged the Constitution by planting a poison pill in the Supremacy Clause.

Now that's pathetic hyperbole.

And another thing. That "rancher from Nevada," the one that married Helen Chenowyth by the way, was the guy who established perhaps the most important property rights precedent in law in the last hundred years in suing over regulatory takings of property in the US Court of Claims, and winning at a personal cost of over ten million dollars. For you to deprecate that great patriot in the manner you did is not only ignorance, it is culpable ignorance.

Hello progunner,

You said, “May we be of assistance in any way, we sure hate to see folks in the dark.” This is great. I would really like to take you up on the offer.

Here is where I am...

While I do believe that the fed is unreformable, I do have hope that in the states we may succeed. For this reason, I don’t and won’t give in.

I see almost everyone referring to the fed and no one never referring back to the states. So I am wondering what will be the role in our states? Our states have some responsibility and authority in relation to us and the feds and I think we should not overlook this. I think we should explore how to make use of them. Each state is currently taking a different attitude towards all of this and some are FOR us, whereas the fed is NOT FOR us.

Anyway, I am trying to explore this and work it out as it relates to using the states. No one has yet wanted to comment on this topic. Oh well, maybe it is a rabbit hole, and I should drop it. What do you think?

Do you have any assistance in this?

And one last thing...

Which of course give insight to why you’d buy into the sickest conspiracy theory I’ve ever seen on this forum, that the leading Founders of this country deliberately sabotaged the Constitution by planting a poison pill in the Supremacy Clause.

Then why did Hamilton LIE about the degree of consideration of the treaty power in the Federal Convention? Eh? From an article referenced in the one you read:

Hamilton's Federalist #75 makes an attempt to paper-over the obvious contention over the means of ratification.

THE President is to have power, "by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, to make treaties, provided two thirds of the senators present concur." Though this provision has been assailed, on different grounds, with no small degree of vehemence, I scruple not to declare my firm persuasion, that it is one of the best digested and most unexceptionable parts of the plan.
Pure hokum. Not only did it go virtually undiscussed, but the anti-Federalists had a cow about it. this is what Henry had to say:This, sir, is my great objection to the Constitution, that there is no true responsibility — and that the preservation of our liberty depends on the single chance of men being virtuous enough to make laws to punish themselves.

In the country from which we are descended, they have real and not imaginary responsibility; for their mal-administration has cost their heads to some of the most saucy geniuses that ever were. The Senate, by making treaties, may destroy your liberty and laws for want of responsibility. Two thirds of those that shall happen to be present, can, with the President, make treaties that shall be the supreme law of the land; they may make the most ruinous treaties; and yet there is no punishment for them. Whoever shows me a punishment provided for them will oblige me.

So, "unexceptional" or "best digested"? Bull, and Hamilton knew it. If Hamilton was such a righteous paragon as you presume, why did he proffer such a massive lie for purposes of advancing ratification of such a flagrant fault as the manner of ratification? Hell, he could have offered an amendment, but he did not.
