Jeffrey Corzine, the youngest son of former New Jersey governor Jon Corzine, has died of an apparent suicide. He was 31 years old.
The former governor's son was found dead in a Mexico City hotel room a few days ago; he was reportedly found after failing to respond to messages from friends. Corzine, who lived in California and worked as a drug counselor, had a history of substance abuse and depression. "The sad fact is that Jeffrey Corzine had been suffering from severe depression for several years and recently had been receiving treatment for what is a very painful and debilitating physical and mental ailment," Steven Goldberg, a spokesman for the elder Corzine, said in a statement. "On Tuesday morning, he succumbed to his disease and made the tragic decision to take his own life."
Corzine was the youngest son of the former governor and ex-wife Joanne Corzine. He has two siblings, Jennifer Corzine-Pisani and Josh Corzine, and was a visible presence on his father's gubernatorial campaign in 2005.
The elder Corzine served as governor from 2006 to 2010, and was succeeded by Chris Christie; Christie issued a statement saying he and his wife "send our personal condolences and condolences on behalf of all the people of New Jersey to the Corzine family during these very sad times."
So sad and devastating. May he rest in peace.
They killed him as a warning to their entire Bankster enterprise: “As the Hussein Regime crumbles, don’t even think about cutting a deal with investigators.”
In a few weeks perhaps the Arpaio revelations will shed light on the ongoing epidemic of high-profile financial-industry ‘suicides.’
At least Corzine’s kid didn’t shoot himself 8 times in the head and torso with a nail gun. I hear that’s the new fad going around.
Pray for him.
For his fall serves as an example of the emptiness of riches.
For he had want of no material thing on this earth.
It was all before him, within reach, without effort.
And yet, he had despair.
Where was Faith?
Where was his sense of worth and purpose?
In this life or the next?
No foundation was laid down for him to build upon.
Only the sands of material want.
Pray for him.
Pray for yourself and your family.
Pray for Faith and Belief and Thanksgiving.
No parent should ever have to bury one of their children, no matter how old................
One of Bernard Madoff’s sons also killed himself.
Madoff of course managed one of the biggest Ponzi schemes in US history.
Corzine on the other hand, as CEO of MF Global, mismanaged (perhaps stole) $1.2 billion directly from the accounts of his customers.
The difference is Madoff is in jail, while Corzine is free.
Does his son know something we don’t?
Tragic and sad nonetheless.
good thing Obama supports legalization of dope...drug abuse will soon be a thing of the past...this sad scene is on Corzines head ....lousy role model ..lousy outcome for his son...
What a shame.
“if you can’t say something nice, then don’t say anything at all”
BUMP
bump
He’s just stating facts— I dont find his post disrespectful in tone. Sorry for Corzine’s loss and similar to Madoff’s.
Good point raised about the similarity.
It is really sad when someone who seems to have everything turns out to think he has nothing. I feel badly for the family, dealing with mental illness is first a war and then a nightmare. Condolences to the family. I hope they find true faith and peace.

ignorance abounds
Just wondering how to abide by your advice when I get to talking about Obama.
Prayers for the family.
My heart goes out to anybody who has to go through that.
Naturally, the official problem is mental illness again, not family dysfunction, though the two seem to go hand-in-hand more often than not.
it certainly does
