The countries of eastern Europe will now find out what it is really like to depend on a weak American government to protect them. They can ask the South Vietnamese for their perspective. My recommendation to them: its time to worry and plan NOW.

Russia is looking at the novorossiya. With a suitable pretext, it could march in and amputate the primarily Russian-speaking oblasts in eastern Ukraine and never leave. The only question left to be answered is what could constitute a future pretext for Russian intervention.
We’re talking about an autocrat. Any whim will do as a suitable pretext. He’s used propaganda in Russia as effectively as Goebbels ever did in Germany, and it’s worked outside of Russia too. It just goes to show that some are duped because they’re dopes and some are duped because they want to believe.
