The liberal climate cause is easier to understand if you think of it as a religion. Mondays talkathon sounded at times like a religious revival. Senators spoke about the faithful who believe in wind and believe in renewable energy. Sen. Chris Coons, D-Del., said climate for him is a faith issue.

<>Some Republicans wrongly deny that carbon dioxide and similar gasses exert a net upward pressure on atmospheric temperature, and that this has affected the climate.<>
Not just self aggrandizement; there is huge money (billions) to be made from the GW mythology. That is probably the real reason why most of the truly rich support it.
As it is to most liberals. They tend not to believe God exists, so they direct their worship to either themselves or the "environment."
And the fact it's a "faith issue" to Coons reveals that belief in "global warming" is a belief without actual evidence.
96% of ‘climate scientists’ (not to be confused with meteorologist or real scientists) feel climate change and the grants generated by it - are - wait for it - good investments.
And the fools keep marching on. And many fools follow the pied piper.
They don't have any skin in the game, so they can sit down and shut up.
“Sen. Chris Coons, D-Del., said climate for him is a faith issue.”
Yes Chris, we know you worship at the altar of Environmentalism.
Ohnoes! I wonder if we're in danger of THE WHOLE WORLD "tipping over", starting at the focal point of Guam...
Quick! Someone get in touch with noted Climate Expert Representative Hank Johnson (Dumb-Georgia) and acks him!
Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., uttered the creed on the Senate floor: "We believe in science."
I guess if you can't get a college degree in a hard science, you might as well become a "faith believer" in science.
Amy, shut up.
Isn’t Chris Coons it the mental lightweight that Karl Rove and the GOPe helped to defeat Tea Party candidate Christine O’Donnell?
If I was a billionaire, I’d use my money to directly mitigate “global warming” if I was so inclined. Why go through the government middle men who are obviously inept? In other words, I’d spend my money to make my corporations more energy efficient so that every dollar spent would likely have a greater impact. Give it to some politician so he can spend millions to get elected and then do nothing? Eh, no thanks.
Since billionaires are investing in government instead, I’m suspicious. Do they really want to help the environment, or are they attempting to profit by appearing to want to help the environment? Why do I think it’s the latter?
BTW, a billionaire is a financial nothing compared to the spending power of the US government. Senator Inhofe claims President Obama has wasted something like $120 billion on global warming over the past five years. According to Forbes, that’s as much money as Bill Gates and Warren Buffett combined!
One and the same.
I can’t help but wonder if it was Rove or one of his people who put out the tax disinformation against Christine, or some of the other dishonest propaganda.
I blame Rove for O’Donnell’s loss. When the GOPe fears the Tea Party more than Democraps, Republicans have a real problem. When you think about Roves campaign win for Bush - he darn near lost that race to Gore. He isn’t the great know-it-all Fox makes him out to be.
