Every Republican likes to think he or she is the next Ronald Reagan. Some who say this do so for lack of their own ideas and agenda. Reagan was a great leader and President. But too often people make him into something he wasnt in order to serve their own political purposes.

It’s Paul vs Cruz. I like them both. But Paul scares me. He is the son of the father - who is a fruitcake when it comes to foreign policy.
“Trust, but verify” and being in Lebanon in the first place belie what he said.
He does not sound anything like his father. Ron Paul went “off the rails” of foreign policy after Rand had grown up. I do not worry about him turning into another Ron. He is his own man.
Reagan was probably the most “anti war” (not the correct term I know) president of any of our lifetimes yet he got more done in fighting our enemies than most.
He just didn’t see a point in swinging a stick around if he didn’t intend to use it but he also kept a carrot available too.
“Its Paul vs Cruz.”
I doubt they will both run. If they do, Jeb will be the nominee.
Cruz won’t get very far with his Canadian birth certificate. He should get out of the way.
Lunch time, be back later.
In short: Peace through Strength.
The current worthless POC thinks if we apologize enough and try to get our enemies to LIKE us that bad things won't happen around the world. Liberal world-views always fail because of weakness.
I agree that it would be best to field only one conservative candidate. Paul, Cruz, Sara, Walker, whoever, but only one or conservatives will split the vote and once again the GOPe wins.
He doesn’t sound like Ron Paul because he’s a smarter and savvier politician. He knows the Ron Paul kook theories (911 was caused by the U.S. arrogance, not Al Queda) will never fly. That’s why he’s a U.S. Senator on his first try. And his father was a lifer in the House.
But it doesn’t mean he doesn’t believe in much of the overall philosophy, i.e. libertarian foreign policy, sans the 911 Truther stuff.
he will get farther than the lesser Paul.
Desperate times call for desperate measures. Let the conservatives & libertarians unite to rid ourselves of the Marxists ......
Cruz/Paul 2016
Today I could enthusiastically support a Cruz/Paul ticket (not the other way around). Tomorrow never knows.
Rand has warts. Cruz has a few too...
Either one is far superior to the MSM/GOP-e favorites and their suppurating pustules.
Rand/Cruz/Palin/Nugent/West.
Pick two and let’s roll.
Rand’s the man. I love Ted but he’s not eligible...
” I do not worry about him turning into another Ron. He is his own man.”
Amen to that
I hope Ron Paul runs again in 2016 if Rand Paul runs. That way, we can see these radical differences between the two that I keep hearing about from Ron Paul supports - who to a person now support Rand Paul despite those alleged remarkable differences.
“Cruz wont get very far with his Canadian birth certificate. He should get out of the way.”
Yes, but I think he intends to. But why waste all this media attention? Who gets more air time Cruz or Lee? Lee isn’t looked at as running for president, that’s why.
Cruz is playing the Lame stream media like a Stradivarius.
He will use them right up to the last minute just as he should. Very smart strategy if he eventually bows out and says exactly why. Ted Cruz for Senate Majority Leader.
Yes he is, just as eligible as McCain was. Also, you probably are the same type who said back in 08’ “we can’t question Obama’s eligibility!” Cruz is GTG.
How about switching them around after their second term, just to make sure everything stays on the same Republic Road. Like Cruz-Palin, Cruz-Palin, Palin-Paul, Palin-Paul, Paul-Nugent, Paul-Nugent, Nugent-West, Nugent-West, etc. =)
