Kay Hagan sinks lower in North Carolina polls
The Washington Examiner ^ | March 4, 2014 | Rebececa Berg

Posted on 03/08/2014 9:57:45 AM PST by Clintonfatigued

Approval ratings continue to drop for Democratic Sen. Kay Hagan, who is seeking re-election in the key battleground state of North Carolina, according to a new poll.

The result of the latest Elon University Poll shows that approval of Hagan, now at roughly 33 percent, has declined in four consecutive polls.

"The trend suggests the senator will face a tougher-than-expected re-election battle this November," said Dr. Jason Husser, assistant director of the Elon University Poll.

Further troubling for Hagan is the roughly equivalent disapproval of her job performance by women and men. Thirty-three percent of women and 34 percent of men surveyed approved of Hagan's work.

Hagan has been pummelled for months by negative advertising. Americans For Prosperity, funded in part by the Koch brothers, has alone spent more than $8 million so far on advertising attacking Hagan -- more than the group has funneled to any other race so far this election cycle.

If Kay Hagan were to sink any lower, she’d be underground. I just wish that Republicans have a better field of contenders. Maybe they can find a last-minute entrant like Cory Gardner in Colorado.

Has North Carolina learned from its brief affair with blue state status? Turning New Yorkers and M*ssholes around at the NC/VA border would be a step in the right direction.

“Hagan has been pummeled for months by negative advertising.”

Is it really negative advertising if an ad simply points out extremely bad legislation that Hagan promoted and voted for, legislation she and her compatriots blatantly lied through their teeth about, legislation that has had horrific consequences for her constituents?

All she has to do is wrap herself in an ObamaCare flag, which her party leadership has declared will be an advantage this election cycle.

Rebecca, you ignorant slut. Don’t you know that the Eeeeevil Koch Bros. have given more money to Democrats than Republicans? It’s terrible to go through life getting your information from Harry Reid and the New York Times. It just tells us you’re a stupid sock puppet for the Left.

Maybe the North Carolina Governor needs to follow Cumo’s example and announce if you don’t like guns, if you like killing babies, if you don’t believe marriage is between one man and one woman, if you like borrowing to the point where future generations will have to live like serfs you don’t belong here.

During the 1992 elections, the Democrats’ motto was ‘’It’s the economy, stupid!’’

Now, as the 2014 elections approach, the Democrats’ motto is ‘’It’s the Koch brothers, stupid!’’

The Democrats are losing their minds as well as their approval ratings.

I'm going to say something really out there. I'm so fed up with the lack of quality of female US Senators, we should defeat as many as possible and not elect any more of them until there's a clean sweep. They're acting like a quilting bee that votes in ways that please each other but seem to have nothing to do with the principles for which they were elected. Not one of them has shown any leadership potential or (for the 'pubs) any inclination to stand by Ted Cruz and the other conservative US Senators.

So if they can defeat dem Hagen with a conservative 'pub male, that's about as good as it gets.

Lol @ the cheap shot at the Koch Brothers. Got to incorporate them in anyway they can. Of course you never see “Soros backed” or “Soros funded” when discussing support if liberal candidates...

1. Speaker Thom Tillis is perfectly capable of beating Hagan like a rented mule.

2. The filing deadline was February 28.

A possible source of the all the Tillis haterade (besides the dreaded mark of Rove) may be his curbstomping of an incumbent Republican State Rep. in the 2006 primary.

That is way out there. I'd be thrilled to see Kay Hagan unseated by a conservative pro-life, pro-gun, patriotic woman. There is a candidate named Heather Grant who's running, but I don't know if she's a viable candidate.

I'd like to see a lot more conservative Republican women on Capital Hill. Your problem is that militant feminists are overrepresented among women on Capital Hill because conservative women can't get the fundraising needed. There are a number of them running for the House this year.

It’s curious that on OurCampaigns (leftist), Rhodes was listed as “least effective”, yet elsewhere, he was regarded as a highly effective Conservative who helped to shine a spotlight on the unholy RINO-Rodent power arrangement.

I’ve endorsed Brannon. I’ve had more than a bellyful of establishment types in high office.
