A chastened Rep. Darrell Issa says he has apologized to a fellow senior lawmaker for abruptly cutting off his microphone during a hearing Wednesday before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.
Issa, R-Vista, said he made a personal apology on Thursday to the man he silenced, Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md.
“Mr. Cummings is a member of Congress who works very hard for his constituents,” he said.

Hell, the frikkin’ hearing wasn’t over! It hadn’t even begun! I for one, would have liked to hear what Cummings was wanting to ask. Issa should have held her in contempt right then and there. So much, so wrong. So many opinionated a-hole armchair politicians...have another bag of popcorn.

Issa will NEVER "grow a pair"... (we're way past that stage) and he IS COMPLETELY "worthless in these investigations".
The first time I saw Gowdy I said to myself “Who is this guy,he’s terrific”.

Harry Reid uses the nuclear option for the first time in the history of this country, Lerner pleads the Fifth in using the IRS as a political weapon and Issa apologizes for not kissing Cumming’s backside!
Unbelievable.
Issa did a good job of straightening out her addled brain on this issue. She knows zot, nada, nothing about congressional rules of order applied in committee meetings...and he firmly corrected her stupidity.
However, after standing up to Meagan, it appears he couldn't stand up to Cummings and the pressure from the Boehner Brigade. What a wuss!

One must never apologize to a Democrat. Pile on the bile, but never apologize to one of them.
Democrats will never apologize for their behaviour unless they must as part of some charade they need for votes, or some goal they seek. IOW apologies by Democrats are not without purpose. Nothing heartfelt, or sincere.
One must never treat a Democrat like one would treat civilized people.
Wonder what caused that turn-around? Yesterday Issa was saying how it was Cummings who owed him the apology.
Too bad he bothered to apologize. Elijah Cummings is a mustard stain on the tie of life.
You saw what an angry POS Cummings is. He only has himself to blame. People should not bow down to angry morons who throw a fit like a child.
Yeah we all know Cummings people were slaves a 150 years ago which gives Cummings permission to act like an arsehole. Issa just enabled this behavior by apologizing
The hearing is not over until Cummings gets to put in his 2 cents worth for the TV cameras. Assholes like Cummings live for these moments. John McCain is similar. The older they get the more vain they get. The more they love the TV cameras
Cummings blew up because he had his little prepared speech for the TV cameras and Issa cut off his mike. POS Cumming had been waiting for weeks for this moment.
