Let them create their own gun registries.

Then they can leave the Union.

The rest of the country would be better off without them.

You want to criminalize most conservatives and most constitution supporters, enact a national gun registry.

Even in the southern state of Virginia — which has gone blue in recent years — 63 percent want the federal government to track all guns.

Oh, bullsh!t. I'm not believing one word of that crap poll.

Let’s guess the ones that answered the poll were the communist indoctrinated students of each college...

First federal law on common firearms? What does that mean? Ignoring the NFA law of 1934 doesn’t make it go away and that was the real start to this boondoggle.

Stupid poll. Meaningless majorities.

It requires 75% of the STATES, not 68% of the population in a few liberal states, to enact this.

“... guns find their way illegally to others who should never get guns ...”
-
How would a National Gun Registry prevent that?

Those errant, arrogant, East Cost Colony States, can ban guns in their state, but bloody well, leave the rest of us alone.

It is amazing how when you only poll democrats how they have strong majorities in support of gun control.

And I bet if they only polled NRA members,...

Okay, but a free people first controls THE GOVERNMENT'S Guns.

If MSNBC Says Something Alone in the Forest, Is It Still Stupid?

Civitas Media: Before publishing concealed weapons dB, please help regulate the Government

Regarding: Newspaper chain plans ‘state-by-state’ concealed weapon databases Civitas Media Plans to Tell Crooks Where Your Home Defense Weapon Is

Letter to the Publisher:

I have no guns; please first contribute to regulating the government.

My son just turned 33. When he was six months old, I had to have a gun to work as a security guard.

(Tip: If you have to carry a gun for a living, you want two, one on each side, otherwise, your hips will get messed up.)

I never had to discharge the weapon, but once, at the back of a Holiday Inn abutting a freeway, I was confronted by a pack of 4 wild dogs, led by a St. Bernard, the smallest of which was a German Shepherd. They growled at me. I drew down on them. Dogs instinctively understand guns. They backed off. It was only afterwards that I saw they were on the other side of a chain link fence. If they had wanted to cross, however, who knows what would have happened?

At home, in 1981, my six month old son was getting his diaper changed. I was “dry firing” an “unloaded weapon” in a direction 45 degrees away from where he was being changed. BAM! went my “unloaded” weapon.

I got rid of the gun, 32 years ago, and I haven’t had one since.

Before you publish your concealed weapon permit database, would you please start an online search database of government vehicle licenses?

This is so that, when a government employee misbehaves, a “citizen” (remember that old civics word?), can note the license number, record the date, time, location and specifics of the misbehavior, and report the matter to the agency-in-question’s Risk Management Department, the only thing that our civil “regulators” fear.

The old shibboleth: “If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.”

How about a new one: “If the government weren’t arbitrarily armed, citizens wouldn’t need guns.”

Think about it: It’s now technologically possible, for guns to be remotely detected using a kind of “radar”. Gun Radar detection a Football Field Away

At the same time, it’s technologically possible to electronically lock a gun to only operate for an assigned “owner”.

Now, if the Police can scan remotely, and disarm those in possession of guns, the Police…

*** 35% of whose shootings are either partner- (20%)or self-inflicted (15%)***

…could be required to get instant authorization to activate/arm an electronically locked weapon.

Okay, there are all kinds of implementation issues, as there are with any law.

The point is, why vilify people who nearly always get guns because the Police can’t protect them, if you’re not going to advocate for the fullest extent of measures to protect them?

Guns are such a hassle. I’m lucky to have moved to an area with half the murder rate of my former domicile. (There, the Police didn’t even bother responding to reports of small arms discharge, so we stopped calling.)

You have a tremendous privilege influencing public opinion.

Please take up the corresponding responsibility to act for all people’s welfare, regardless of their “political opinion”—whatever that means in this age of the greatest commercial propaganda in history.

You assume that the government has the authority to do even a portion of what it does. How is knowing which law abiding citizen has guns and what guns they have going to prevent crime? Do you think that the criminals and the insane are going to register theirs?

Know this for a fact: Gun registration ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS leads to confiscation. There is no other reason to have a registration.

***First federal law on common firearms? What does that mean?****

Common firearm, not class III firearms that were taxed but not banned.

Do I have to explain it to you? The common revolver, semi-auto pistol, rifle and shotgun. Firearms they said they would NEVER try to ban.

Wow, I didn't know about this poll.

In that case, let's overturn the US Constitution and give government (aka global MAFIA) our gun info, so they can round up guns (and us) when convenient.

All we need now is a poll showing Soebarkah (aka Obama) isn't using a forged BC and 7 stolen SSNs.

Roanoke College in Virginia is pretty much on the up and up. No major bias from them normally when it comes to local politics, they normally do some fairly reliable polling during election season. No sure what is going on here.

I think they probably polled in Fairfax and Arlington counties as well as around the UVA campus. Just two counties south of Fairfax (Stafford) and they would have been buried with negative answers.

So its ok to judge people who have never committed a crime and take their property even when they have done nothing wrong? Seems fair.

“No chance for a biased poll from those “Big Education” sources...”

The left needs bogus polls to use as propaganda. 90% of the people will believe it.
