Let me take a stab at the question, which was not published:
In order to prevent guns from being transferred to states with sensible gun safety laws, do you think that the Government should have a registry of who has guns over the entire nation?
The question that I would have asked:
Do you believe that the government should be able to confiscate any of the legal guns in the country, should they desire to do so?

This poll is pure leftist politics at work. It is a fabrication.

There were a great number of loyalists that fought against the patriots. In 1780 there were 9,000 patriots in Washington's army while 8,000 loyalist served in the British Army.
Apparently a lot of loyalists to King Barry are still around.

The anti-firearm idiots should have lied even more: 100% want guns to be melted into plowshares.

This is simply a propaganda poll! A real repesentative poll would tell a different story.

Typical propaganda from the left wing fascists and commies to undermine patriot resolve.
Keep pushing. The purse-carrying leftist wimps are terrified that we’ll come after them. They want to shove their totalitarianism down our throats, but they don’t have the guts to enter the battlefield and force compliance.
My reading from the Connecticut blogs shows that the gun grabbers are cr*pping in their diapers. The legislators who passed these fascist anti-gun laws are crying like babies, begging for protection. The state police grunts are starting to question the chicken-sh*t commanders and legislators who will refuse to go out on confiscation raids. Keep pushing.

“No sure what is going on here.”
Propaganda from the Nazi Soros. Soros paid Roanoke College to cook a poll. That is not unusual. The only question is what was the price to buy these Roanoke whores.

I would think a data base of who has the guns could at least notify the government when an owner dies that there is a gun to verify the possession of.
If it is willed to a normal person that would be fine, if it disappears or is willed to a mental midget that would be a problem.

We know that a qualified person has the right to have their gun.
What happens to the gun though during the course of it's existence?
Has it been used in a crime, been stolen or gotten into the hands of a person with mental problems? All things we need to do better about.

Just how many problems are you trying to solve that our founding fathers had already considered when they said it was the right of citizens to keep and bear arms?

Well said.
I can’t stand it that you got crickets on your post to someone obviously defending a national gun registry. He must think the founding fathers were so much dumber than he is.

What exactly would you be aiming to accomplish with such a plan that our founding fathers did not consider when they decided that citizens should have the right to keep and bear arms? It isn’t a PRIVILEGE, it is a RIGHT.

I completely disagree with you concept of "common" and what constitutes a ban. What were classified as "class 3" were in fact common, and making any list of the incremental infringements of the 2nd amendment has to start with the NFA or it completely misses the point.
Speaking of NFA bans, go try to buy a 2014, full auto HK UMP. You can't because importation of any NFA device is banned unless of course it's for government use. How about a 2014 select fire Colt M4? You can't because since 1986's "FOPA" no new firearms can be added to the NFA registry (which, by the way, invalidates the whole taxing precept of the law).

Again, how is a national database of lawful gun owners going to PREVENT crime? It won’t. DemocRats ALWAYS lie about gun control. The next step they propose is NEVER the last. It is just one more in the total ban on private firearm ownership.
