The reasons they oppose the project are so far out in left field, they aren't even in the ballpark.
More than 300 anti-Keystone XL protesters were arrested Sunday afternoon outside the White House in the latest push by environmentalists to convince the Obama administration to reject the Canadian oil pipeline.
The student-led protest, organized by XL Dissent, started with a rally at Georgetown University. The students marched from there to the White House — with a stop at Secretary of State John Kerry’s house along the way.
Students from 80 colleges participated in Sunday’s event, and another protest will be held on Monday in San Francisco, said Aly Johnson-Kurts, a freshman at Smith College and one of the organizers of the event.
“The youth really understand the traditional methods of creating change are not sufficient … so we needed to escalate,” said Johnson, shortly before she was arrested at the White House.
An organizer estimated the crowd at about 1,200 people. U.S. Park Police could not immediately provide a count of those arrested Sunday afternoon.
Organizers held civil disobedience training on Saturday to ensure that the demonstration went peacefully.

I find I like American Thinker’s articles more and more. No one else in the media reasoning like this.
I’m so confused. Those aren’t kids in my book. I guess kids are only kids if they can be used against conservatives or freedom.
If it involves the lefts agenda then they are adults.
They’re adults when they want their parents to pay their tuition and the school to provide them free condoms.
Arrested or given lunch vouchers for the best restaurants in DC....in return for a promise to vote Dem??
Don’t arrest them if they are doing something illegal. Bring out a pumper truck, hose them down, then leave. At 40 degrees, they will be getting out of there.
In this economy, only a DC college kid could be stupid enough to ask for a police record. That’ll look great on a resume’ and background check.
Huh??? The feds can arrest protestors in DC while countries where we have an agenda are condemned for not letting them go violent?
That’s why Obama wants all 17 year olds to be able to vote.
In Illinois this month will be the first years that 17 year old can vote in all elections.
That is the age when they have been most recently brain washed in government schools.
Shouldn’t that headline read “Hundreds of Punks”?
