Blockbuster in the making. Son of God blasts off to major viewer numbers, Thursday night and Friday!!! Could be #1 movie this week. Terrific movie across the board. All Americans should see this wonderful, motivating, religious film!!! Son of God will do terrific across the entire world!!!

IMHO......I could care less about whether the “Obama Devil Satan” is in the Son of God movie. Why??? Because I do not want a film reminder that Obama is a “Satan”!!! He is...and if not...he is doing Satan’s evil bidding (destroying the USA)!!! End of Story!!! Also...I have not yet seen the movie Son of God...will view it tomorrow with the Mrs. But...I did view the entire miniseries of “The Bible” and loved it.
You must put this film into proper focus. The times that Jesus was brought forth into humanity by our Father in Heaven were very much like those, today!!! Corrupt politians (Obama), religion failing (Christians demonized by Obamabots, Jews adrift at sea,looking for salvation, etc.), despots (Obama, the false Roman Tyrant King) occupying the land, poor people just getting by (failed, corrupt leaders, like Obama lies) Just as Jesus cahnged history & the world...we need to do the same in our own lives and the life of our beloved free Nation!!!
Don’t forget the ninja angels. No this is not going to be Biblical, but it is a first step and perhaps some will look into the truth.
Let’s face it, Christians are the starving dogs of society.

Thank God there are some people who recognize the truth and lies.
This movie is a blasphemy and all who worship it are kneeling at the feet of the father of all lies. The reckoning is coming and they will fall on the wrong side of judgement.
Use your brains people! Believe the word of God not the word of Hollywood.
He is a Brit I believe, she is Northern Irish or Irish. I watched them on Hannity, they seemed okay. I enjoyed the Bible series. The movie may not be perfect but from what I saw on the Bible series, it’s not bad. I watched the Bible’s depiction of Acts and of Paul and the Road to Damascus, not bad and I don’t recall seeing that done in a movie before or at least not that well done. There is a movie on Paul out there.
Some posters seem to think that the Word of God is entertainment. So many have lost sight of who He is.........
The dialogue seems wooden and the Jesus looks like a soap opera heartthrob. Roma Downey is also a freak who I don’t trust. Passion of the Christ grabbed you by the throat and the visuals were arresting and very real. All the same, Son of God will make a mint at the box office, but nowhere near POTC’s $700 million.
I thought the Bible was filmed in Israel/Mideast.

Roma Downey used Jonathon Edwards to “channel” her deceased mother and made a meditation CD for him. Her favorites though are Eckart Tolle and Tony Robbins.
Why isn't it perfect? It is because the movie was crafted from a New Age viewpoint. Jesus is not portrayed as THE Son of God. Major portions of verses like “I am the Way, the Truth, the Life” (”No man cometh to the Father but through Me” - was omitted).
Christians are to be the head, not the tail. Why do we need to have a New Age Guru present our belief? Jesus told us to Go ye therefore, teach all nations, baptize them in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, TEACH THEM TO OBSERVE ALL THINGS that I have commanded you...

I agree with your assessment . . . did notice Roma interjected herself quite a few times in the movie. A narrator filling in the gaps would be helpful to a non-believer who has not read the Bible. I have not seen The Bible series so is Son of God a splice job of it?

The assertions about Downey have been made on every thread but until we see backup, that’s all they are. Would like to see it actually backed up with info.
Her so-called “New Age” album looks like nothing less than using some old Celtic poetry and music. I guess that passes for new age nowadays.

besides, I don't think these movies reach non-believers anyway. There have been some good films about Christ, but I think they are mainly enjoyed by Christians.

Several on that list have proven themselves to be “compromisers of the faith.” I look to the Holy Scriptures as the final Word, not man.
