Jonathan Turley: We are now at a constitutional tipping point in our system February 26, 2014 www.FreeBeacon.com

Kinda says it all, Sarge!!
Woof!
“...I was born free and when I die, I will die free...”
You are an awesome American, friend.
“...Impeachment is a political impossibility. ...”
I can’t see it either, brother. No stones in the GOP.
Afraid of being called racists... imagine, grown men being afraid of a word...
Rah, bro!
Many, many are ready. But twenty can’t show up on the Capitol steps armed and ready to fight. It has to be a groundswell and that requires leadership and organization. So far, I have not heard anyone asking patriots to follow.
The other evening, The Bride and I just watched the 2012 “Red Dawn” again.
This time without the teenage girls moaning out Odinga’s name when his half-white face flashed across the screen...
Jed eckert tells us, “The tiniest flea can drive a big dog crazy. When I was overseas we were the good guys, and we enforced order. Now we’re the bad guys, and we create chaos.”
Turley’s been saying this for about 10 years now. When should I start taking him seriously?
“...But twenty cant show up on the Capitol steps armed and ready to fight. ...”
And that’s probably NOT how it will even go.
Who knows what starts things. Look at Beck’s 9-12 Project a few years ago. Several hundred thousand people showed up in DC. Many, many more than were expected.
I am not pretending to have ANY answers for this. But like Jefferson said - people will tolerate evils while they are tolerable, and then it will get to a point where it is intolerable.
Look at Ukraine. Somewhere, a tipping point was reached, and passed, and they wound up removing the guy and his cronies.
Events move as they will. We’re carried along with them, one way or the other.
“...The tiniest flea can drive a big dog crazy...”
Spot-on, Sarge...
Not really. The awesome Americans shed their blood giving me that privilege. I will be a son of bitch before I dishonor their sacrifices.
Bug-out plan, or stand your ground plan?
Jackie, we're quickly running out of peaceful options, but we're not there yet. There's still a slim chance that we can win our country back by working within the system.
If (and that's a big if) we send enough real patriots to Washington this November, they could stall or gum up the treason works long enough for us to vet more reinforcements to send in 2016.
I watch what Senator Ted Cruz has done almost single handedly, and wonder what ten more like him could accomplish on Capitol Hill. I believe a strong contingent of patriots in Congress could cause all sorts of havoc with the Uniparty's normal operations.
That's as much as I'm willing to hope for, as regards our civil mechanisms over the next few years. We're still going to have leftist judges legislating from the bench, and trying to radically alter our society. Obama's still going to use every bit of power he can grab to do the same.
We've just got to stand strong and keep finding good people to send into the belly of the beast to do the will of the people. They'll get there and turn the tide for us, or at least jam the treason works enough to stop us from going off the cliff.
To actually clean out the swamp and restore our government to something the Framers would recognize, is a very long term objective, in my opinion. There's over a hundred years of subversion and intentional destruction to turn back and undo, and it's metastasized throughout the culture. It may take something a lot stronger than politics to undo all of that.
In the near term, I'm hoping that we don't have to resort to stronger medicine to cure the patient, but it's just a hope. I have few reasons to believe we're not headed for a political split between the blue and red states. Curiously, I think that would defeat the leftist plague faster than anything else we could do, as those parasitic portions of the country would soon starve without having the ability to feed upon the productive half of the people.
We'll see where all this takes us, but there's no doubt that it's coming to a head in some form or another. Just stay strong and resolve to make the right choice when the time comes.
You are too.
Your sentiment cuts right to the heart of how many folks believe.
Please note how many of the GOP Establishment “leaders” have never served our country in uniform.
Doing well thanks.
How about you?
You must have misread my post. I'm not the one misinterpreting the term, and I have never once suggested to anyone that they pull up stakes and flee their country because things are getting 'interesting' here.
In fact, I'm in the opposite contingent. I don't intend on moving a single inch for the leftist bastards. I've run as far as I'm going to in this life. If things here go completely south, I will not dishonor my forebears by running.
They sacrificed and bled to bequeath this great country to me and my descendants, and I'll be damned if I give it up without fighting to the last measure to preserve it.
I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith 2 Timothy 4:7
Thank you for expressing that, Kart. I believe these affirmations of resolve and faith in our country and our fellows are essential in this time of assault against us.
So many around us are losing their will to stand strong, and their endless defeatist diatribes are a poison that infects others. We must counter that, or watch as demoralization lays waste to us. Nothing would make the enemies of the republic happier than to see us destroy ourselves.
Bravo, appears to be a good location to stand your ground. Seattle is surrounded by some beautiful country, but leaving that political cesspool was clearly the smart move.
You must know how fortunate you were to have had the foresight and wherewithal to leave when you did and get properly resettled.
Most will attempt to "bug out" only when such is more difficult or even impossible. If successful, and they were able to bring only bare necessities with them, they will have the substantial challenge of making their new, perhaps unfamiliar environs secure or even inhabitable. A challenge made more difficult because the shelves at Home Depot and Lowes will likely be empty, if those stores are even open.
