When I was a kid, we spent a lot of summers on one or another of my family’s farms in Chesapeake MD.

Mom’s side of the family moved there from upstate PA (coal country) settled down there as farmers... Gramma had like 5 brothers, four sisters ... and they all had adjoining chunks of land... Lots of cousins running around when I was a kid.

Only ONE of those farmhouses had indoor plumbing... so the Outhouse was a normal familiar fixture.

Man, in July-August time frame... Whew... talk about stink!!! Haha!

Yellow jackets, wasps, flies, the occasional snake.

I always cracked up hearing one or the other of my sisters screeching out there at the site of some critter. Always good for a laugh.

Not only that but multitudes of those who call themselves voted for the muslim because he is a member of the Democrat Party. A Party whose members at their National Convention, booed the mention of God three times in concession. A Party that worships the killing of unborn and partially born in their mother's womb and before fully exiting said womb. The homosexual stuff I will not mention. I , myself, have been told uncountable times, "I am a Christian and a Democrat."I want to respond with, "How can one profess to be a follower of Christ when one advocates for acts that God specifically forbids in His Word?" But I do not, because it would almost like explaining a trigomerty problem to a nursing infant. I used almost because the infant would have a higher probability to understand the trig problem than said than individuals of the, "I am a Christian and Democrat sect.

It’s okay to ask an intimate question like that even though we just met. Here is about the ammo I got:

I bought ammo for the other defensive weapons before ammo became scarce. I bought the PINK Ruger 22LR rifle after ammo became scarce. I had every ammo supplier on the web in a favorites folder and went to every one of them every day and put my name on a list to be notified when they had 22LR CCI hollow points. That paid off and I got some right then at not an expensive price when I would find it.

My name stayed on lists as prices went up but I wasn’t getting notices they had it as the demand was too great and I was too far down their list. That ammo started coming back enough that prices started down and I began to get notices from “x” ammo places that they had it for me. I have many hundreds of rounds now, all CCI mini mag hollow points. Put your name on lists to wait for it. My PINK Ruger has a 15 round magazine.

I have nothing against you personally, and I'm not waging a vendetta against you for any reason.

While I've been critical of you, I've tried to steer clear of name calling. You have not.

My only gripe with you has been the incessant stream of doom and gloom you post here. It's pernicious and destructive to the degree that it never admits any ray of sunshine, or a single molecule of optimism - even though we have every reason to trust that we will overcome the wickedness and evil that has infected our government.

You think you're doing your fellow Freepers a favor by telling them how bad it all is, but they already know these things, Invar. Grinding it into their brains isn't going to somehow make them know it better. It only demoralizes them and weakens what resolve they have to stand up to their oppressors.

If you really want to be of service to this community, offer some solutions. Display some resolve. Help a weak heart find its courage. Pledge to fight with us.

He’s expressing what a whole bunch of folks feel. What I hear is “There is a HUGE problem, and what the hell - how the hell - do we change it short of what we ALL know is the final answer?”

I won't say that Invar hasn't added some real quality to the thoughts and discourse here. He has, and I freely admit that I've appreciated many of his past posts.

My only issue with him is that he now posts from a dark, apocalyptic perspective, that admits no possibility of victory for our side. He's still quite eloquent, and can even be informative at times, but he pushes a steady stream of pessimism that I feel is destructive to group morale.

If it were only the odd post, I wouldn't complain, but he's been pretty consistent with this for at least a year now, so I feel justified in calling him out on it. I know I'm being critical, but I'm not trying to make it personal. The guy has been a worthy member of this community, but none of us is beyond reproach.

I’m pretty sure he’s got same American Flag patch on his shoulder sleeve that we all do. Muzzles point out of the perimeter.

I'm all for that, but I can't ignore it when one of my fellows goes doomer on me.
