She may not look anywhere near her 76 years but Jane Fonda says she is well aware of her age.
The Hollywood legend – who has made her career in an industry which isn't exactly kind to aging actresses - admits she has been brought to tears on more than one occasion recently as she comes to terms with her own mortality.
In a thoughtful blog post entitled 'Crying', which has since been removed, Jane wrote: '[I've been thinking], how come my tears are so close to the surface? And I’ve come to feel it has to do with age. I have become so wonderfully, terribly aware of time, of how little of it I have left; how much of it is behind me, and everything becomes so precious (sic).'
Despite Jane worrying about her mortality, she believes getting older has its advantages, namely allowing her to appreciate the beauty in the world.
She said: 'With age, I am able to appreciate the beauty in small things more than when I was younger perhaps because I pay attention more.
'I feel myself becoming part of everything. I seem to be super sensitive to people's joy and pain. I ache for unwanted children in the world, for polars bears, and elephants, and Monarch butterflies, and dolphins, gorillas and chimpanzees (sic).'
Most recently Jane found herself becoming emotional at her friend Kerry Washington’s baby shower on Sunday.
She wrote: 'Today I was at Kerry Washington’s baby shower. She's 7 months pregnant and looking radiant.
'It was a wonderful party with guests being asked to go into a photo booth and take 6 different poses that were then mounted on a black paper where we could write a message....

Also, though, consider reading what the POWs went through in Hanoi, and their families back home.
The torture was very bad, and surely they drew on the example of Jesus to get through it. It’s all written down and published. there are artifacts, as well. sketches, prison uniforms, etc.
Having a fellow countryman (woman) visit and give comfort to the enemy, the torturers, and to, as many have stated, aid them in doing so, is a special insult to consider before telling them to turn the other cheek. I don’t propose to speak for them nor to ascribe hatred nor religiosity to them.
Just, find out about what happened.
Part of the story is that she has not been brought to justice.
So many people feel as you do about Henrys eldest daughter. That pine coffin is gonna get pissed out of the astroturf and slide downhill into the nearest running creek. Millions of American Veterans have forgotten nothing of her ruinous antics.

That was astonishing to read. No wonder she is crying a lot about how little time she has left on this earth.
Good Heavens! Is she being paid by the word to write that stuff? I have seldom seen a more bloated piece of self-centered, self-important, self-righteous drivel.
I suppose she deserves some sort of congratulations for that, at least.
My thoughts precisely. If she was sincere, she is saved. I pray that she was sincere, and that if not, she makes that choice today for Jesus. Nevertheless, I relate to her knowledge of the shortness of time and the beauty of the earth. Re: Her past sins—of course, she should publicly apologize.
It seems that only now does she understand what "Its not how you die, its how you lived" actually means.
We all would get that punishment if not for being covered by Jesus’ sacrifice for us.
Indeed, she needs to “come to terms” with the reality that she has ETERNITY “left”, not “so little time”. And that eternity will be sealed when she dies.
We are told to love and bless our enemies. For me, the marxists like Jane Fonda to Barry oh... and the damage they do make this one of the most difficult aspects of Christianity. How to forgive those trespasses and those trespassers? They know not what they do?
Too bad she didn’t feel all that emotion for our POW’s in Viet Nam as she was lounging on a NV gun turret. So die already Janie your life has been one big shallow Hal.
I find that all I can do regarding those people is pray for their conversion.
