She may not look anywhere near her 76 years but Jane Fonda says she is well aware of her age.
The Hollywood legend who has made her career in an industry which isn't exactly kind to aging actresses - admits she has been brought to tears on more than one occasion recently as she comes to terms with her own mortality.
In a thoughtful blog post entitled 'Crying', which has since been removed, Jane wrote: '[I've been thinking], how come my tears are so close to the surface? And Ive come to feel it has to do with age. I have become so wonderfully, terribly aware of time, of how little of it I have left; how much of it is behind me, and everything becomes so precious (sic).'
Despite Jane worrying about her mortality, she believes getting older has its advantages, namely allowing her to appreciate the beauty in the world.
She said: 'With age, I am able to appreciate the beauty in small things more than when I was younger perhaps because I pay attention more.
'I feel myself becoming part of everything. I seem to be super sensitive to people's joy and pain. I ache for unwanted children in the world, for polars bears, and elephants, and Monarch butterflies, and dolphins, gorillas and chimpanzees (sic).'
Most recently Jane found herself becoming emotional at her friend Kerry Washingtons baby shower on Sunday.
She wrote: 'Today I was at Kerry Washingtons baby shower. She's 7 months pregnant and looking radiant.
'It was a wonderful party with guests being asked to go into a photo booth and take 6 different poses that were then mounted on a black paper where we could write a message....

'I have so little time left!' Jane Fonda, 76, reveals she can't stop crying as she comes to terms with her own mortality
Burry her upside down in an old enemy tank when she goes.
Burn in hell, btch.
Well, she has good reason to cry. Liberal philosophies don’t hold up when measured against the infinite.
She evidently is just finding out, she is not nor ever was, god. (Deliberately no caps out of respect to our creator, there.)
Send her to Ha Noi to be stuffed like old Ho.
I wish that she would drop dead tomorrow
I hope she has time to think about the little time afforded to the tens of millions who died at the hands of her Communist fellow travelers.
Uh....dolphins aren’t carnivores? Does she think fish are plants? Or perhaps candy?
**** off Jane.
She used to be a real babe, now she’s quite scary looking.
She could play the evil kid eating witch.
I saw a movie on cable where she played the aged grandma hippie, that was interesting.
76 is old enough to know not to drunk blog.
My bladder also aches for her demise. My bladder has been waiting for decades for this slut to go two meters under so I can contribute my share to the yellow river which will be flowing across her grave. I know I’ll have to wait in line and it will be a long wait, but I’ll join that long gray line.
“Burn in hell, b...”
Distasteful as she is, a believer would never want anyone to go to hell.
I think an old enemy septic tank would be more appropriate!
Just die, bitch. I can’t wait to empty my bladder on your grave.
” I seem to be super sensitive to people’s joy and pain.”
That must be truly awful, if she is thinking of the VietNam vets she hurt. But I doubt that. She seems to be focused on animals.
She needs to come to the annual POW/MIA Symposium here in a few weeks and see and hear about the affect she had on the lives of the guys who were there enduring six and seven years of captivity and torture, and their families to whom she could’ve got word to about their being alive, as they had to wait all those years in wonder and worry. When all she had to do was take time from her praise of the North Viet Namese and her condemnation of our men and just done that.
Then she can apologize and go on in peace, which she obviously cannot do.
We will hear how it is so hard to die as if she is the only one to have done so, and we’ll be told to think it’s so normal to be an atheist whose love of country and family has no rules, just her own.
But I imagine the respect she garners among her own family and friends is about even with she gets from these wonderful men who seem to want to spit when they say her name to tell their encounter stories.
I wonder if we here at FR, even among those reliable champions of hers, could refrain from these Jane Fonda stories as they will come in the next ten years as she emits the longest guilt ridden dying scene.
That kind of guilt and certainty of Hell will take a lot of years.
I will not respond to any of her defenders. Just saying.
Shame she wasn’t aborted
