So, I lurk on Free Republic quite a bit. Usually it's to read some of the outrageous comments some post here and some of it is to see what your opinions are on certain articles that also get posted elsewhere.
So, a little bit about myself. I'm in my 20s and of Hispanic origin. I was born in New York but moved to Florida when I was three years old. I'm what you guys would consider a "socialist". I don't consider myself a socialist, I'm a supporter of the free market economy except I favor strong government regulations.
While on many issues am probably to the left of the Democratic Party there is one issue I agree with the Republicans but it isn't an issue that would ever sway me to vote for the Republican Party. That issue is gun rights. I love guns and I believe the 2nd amendment is a fundamental right to the people of the United States. I don't believe in a ban on "assault" weapons or on accessories like there is on certain sized magazines. I also support the right for one to properly defend themselves with or without deadly force with your legally owned firearm.
However, on economic and social issues I side with the DNC. I'm probably to the left of the DNC on most issues.
So anyways, ask away.
George Z?
Possible ping... not sure at all
Millennial,
You were here briefly, are now gone having accomplished nothing and will soon be long forgotten. I’m sure Sir Walter Scott has souls such as yours in mind when he penned these words:
“The wretch, concentred all in self,
Living, shall forfeit fair renown,
And, doubly dying, shall go down
To the vile dust from whence he sprung,
Unwept, unhonored , and unsung.”
“So anyways, ask away.”
Why should I ask you anything? I don’t care what you think or do. If you are opposed to the opinions of the owner of this website, which means you are a freaking liberal and you say you are a social liberal, he will decide your fate. His Kitty Brigade is always on call. Bye.
They consider themselves rebels when actually they are the conformists.
“It’s About Time”
All the kids are throwing sticks:
Politics
Nights on the wire!
Everybody wants to get by
‘Ts a test of the times!
A test of my rights
It’s on pretty lady
Born to be angry
Grip of the vice
Click on the trigger, girl;
Sip wine on ice!
It’s about time
Best to rewind
You better blow
Pistols, pistols...
Lights low
Go on baby go
It’s a bad time
I’m on a tight rope!
Don’t go-o!
It’s about time, It’s about time!
Everybody come on
Lights on
The beaches
Everybody come on; delight!
Close the front door
I don’t wanna go
Like I’m on the ‘Truman Show!’
Best to let go
You don’t wanna know
You better blow!
Lights low
Go on baby go
It’s a bad time
I’m on a tight rope!
Don’t go-o!
It’s about time, It’s about...
All the years of paradise
Paradigms
Paralyze
Us
“You’re crazy!”
All the cards you’ve organized
Shuffled twice in front of my eyes
Everybody has
Needs, wants, a cold gun!
Lights low
Go on baby go
It’s a bad time
I’m on a tight rope!
Don’t go-o!
It’s about time, It’s about...PISTOLS

Pandering costs extra.
Regarding the social issues, those are usually considered to be areas concerning sexuality, abortion, gay rights, etc. Since you are a self-described millennial, you would obviously be too young to remember the structure of family life 50 years ago. Things were not perfect then, but the disintegration of the family in the past half-century is a tremendous contributor to crime, poverty, and runaway government spending. (Regarding the latter point, when families break up, government intervenes, at great cost; a huge chunk of state budgets pertains to dealing with broken families and the repercussions of broken families.) In other words, the liberal view on these issues - when adopted by the masses - is utterly destructive of society. And to be fair, conservative are not immune from the charge of contributing to family breakdown and irresponsible sexuality, in their behavior if not in their professed beliefs.
Wow, Zombie Power!
I will bother to be concerned about your economic opinion if you will explain to concepts (about which the DNC) appears to be completely ignorant:
1) The Broken Window Fallacy
2) The Invisible Hand
If you can create a plausible argument in favor of DNC economics after applying these two concepts to your analysis, I will bother to listen.
So, you like having guns but don’t need the pesky social underpinnings/responsibilities that go along with that right.

I don’ talk to commies without my waterboard.
That was my first thought as well-- but you beat me to it.
And I am a splendid dancer as well.
Lol
So, was he born banned or was it a choice?
